I don't know why I spent 8 hours of my precious, fleeting time on this Earth drawing a birch seedling in excruciating detail but I sure did! And I had a damn good time doing it so that's what really counts. Hope you all can find something small to be happy about this week.
Also HELL YEAH the rest of this chapter I've got cookin is lookin *good*. Apparently the best way to learn how to REALLY draw is to throw caution to the wind and start your webcomic. (RSS support on the main site is nearly up.)
Edit: Not happy with these panels at all but hey what can ya do but move on and make up for it? Also! The main site now has an RSS subscription link! It's at the bottom of the page, above the creative commons link.
Edit 2: Phew! Next week, it's onto a page I've been looking forward to for a while. Felix gets to shine a little more.

This is a breathtaking page! Japhet's "inner virmen self", their bone structure, and that awesome birch seedling growing in moss next to Japhet's claws at the very end... Amazing idea, beautifully painted, can't wait to see more :)
