The stares continued even though the whispers stopped. Annalise felt awkward but put her stuff down quietly and tried to ignore them. Kanami smiled, then she remembered the hallway incident and quickly turned to face the front. Professor Mellion started her lesson back up, she wasn’t very happy about this stop and start lesson so far.

Class let out and students started to pile into the hallways. Annalise quietly took her things and also started toward the hallway. Kanami shouted from her desk “Wait! Wait for me!” Annalise turned around and spoke “ Why? Is there something that you need from me or need me to do?” Kanami looked a little puzzled as her question was just met with a slightly hostile one, but said “Oh uh, no I just thought we could walk togather. Maybe I can help you find your next classroom?” Annalise stood there for a moment, people normally didn’t offer to do such things for her, why was she? What did she stand to gain? But before she answer she felt a soft tug at her sleeve. Kanami was pulling slightly. “Come on let’s go before we run into the crowd coming in.” As Kanami said this she lead the still somewhat reluctant Annalise through the door and down the hall way. As the went they heard the whispers again. “Ostradon isn’t that the name of the old sorcerer that went mad?” One student said. “Ya, he went mad, killed his wife and threw his child in a dungeon. Refused to let it out. Do you think it’s her?” Asked another. As that was said many students turned to stare at Annalise. She pretended not to notice and just looked at the floor as she walked. Kanami looked back, she didn’t like the other student gossiping already, it was stupid and mean. She let go of Annalise’s sleeve and turned back to say something encouraging. Before she could, a tall dark haired boy ran smack into Annalise while trying to catch a magic flying football. Wack! Annalise fell down and her books went flying and landed with equally big thuds all over the hallway. The tall boy stood there and looked at her, his blue eyes soon turned from wide to glaring. “Why don’t you watch where your going? What if I was hurt ? I’m the stare of the football team, what where you gonna do if I got injured?” He sneered down as he spoke. Annalise hadn’t moved she stayed looking down at the ground, hands out in front and knees tucked under her. She said nothing back and this made the football player more angry. “ I guess it’s not getting through to you? You should ask my forgiveness maybe I’ll give it to you!” He yelled down. Kanami who had ,had enough of this yelled back “Why don’t you shut up you stupid meat head, you ran into her. You apologize!” He turned back and with a wave of his hand sent her up into the air “Me? Apologize? Do you know who my father is? Why would I do something stupid like that? Everyone can see if was her fault. Right guys?” He said this, then look as a group of 5 male student that had gather to the right of him. “Ya we saw the whole thing. Totally her fault , your the best Jenson!” They all clambered out. “See I did nothing wrong!” He continued as he held Kanami in the air. Kanami was unable to speak with what ever magic he was holding her up there. This made her throat muscle start hurting. She then noticed the pain starting in her legs and arms and realized she could not move those as well. What was his problem she thought. Her thoughts were interrupted by a strange crackle sound. Then a voice mumbling. It was Annalise, still on the ground. The group of guys and Jenson turned to look at her. “Are you trying to say sorry now? I might let your little friend down if you do her muscle have to be hurting by now!” Jenson laughed as he said this and looked at her. Pop! It seemed Annalise’s hair band that held her hair in the braid broke and shot off. Her hair quickly unraveled into long waves that seemed to float around her head. Annalise started to stand up. As she did the crackling sound got louder and her hair seemed to float more. “I said let her go!” Annalise who was now standing said. She looked straight at Jenson. He looked at her and started to say something but quickly dropped to his knees. He cried out in pain. Kanami dropped to the floor luckily for her it was only about three feet so she was able to catch her self. Kanami looked at Annalise she didn’t look the same as she had all morning. Her hair and the crackling, and her eyes? Yes even her eyes changed the once crystal clear blue had turn a dark glowing purple!
