This probably makes more sense if you're familiar with Norwegian tax-free shopping: Norway probably have the most expensive alcohol in the world. So we jump on a ferry to Denmark to buy alcohol and party for 24 hours (never leaving the boat in Denmark) until we're back in Norway. In addition we can declare 1 bottle of booze, 4 bottles of wine and a six pack of beer for free. This should be sufficient to give anyone a temporary memory loss.
