The blanket was stained with blood but it wasn't Sky's fathers blood. Sky began shaking as she hugged her fathers arm and begged him to wake up, but his body became pale and cold as she cried. Mercy whined softly as if he could feel what Sky felt. The house was silent and dark as Sky gently wiped her eyes and covered up her father as if she was tucking him into bed for the night.
Sky grabbed a small duffel bag and packed up her clothes and a blanket that her mother made for her before she was born. She grabbed a picture of her mother and father on their wedding day and her fathers pocket watch. Mercy looked at Sky and whined softly before pawing at her mothers brush; Sky smiled softly and sat in front of Mercy than hugged him and cried silently.
