Kanami lead Annalise down the hallway away from the crowd. They turned into an empty class room. Annalise collapsed in the floor, her hands shaking uncontrollably. Kanami knelt down beside her, she reached out stroked Annalise’s white hair. “Are you ok?” She asked quietly. Annalise looked up and answered “Aren’t you scared of me too ? You don’t have to stay here with someone like me.” Annalise dropped her head down and tears spilled down her cheeks. Kanami stopped stroking Annalise’s hair. “I knew it, you are scared.” Annalise whispered. Kanami quickly wrapped her arms around Annalise’s neck. “No, I’m not! I don’t know why but you have never made me feel scared.” When Kanami said this Annalise looked at her with surprise. Kanami continued “I know I don’t really know you but I don’t think you would purposely hurt anyone. You were just trying to save me right?” Annalise shook her head yes. The girls stayed like at for a min till Annalise had calmed down. Annalise tapped Kanami’s and Kanami releases her from the hug ,then they both stood up. Annalise started to fix her hair and dress. She flattened out the wrinkles in the bottom of her dress and tied her hair back in a long braid. Kanami stood by silently and waited for her to finish. Annalise looked at Kanami “Thank you, I’m sorry you had to see me like that.” Kanami smiled and said “It’s fine! That’s what friends are for. ” Annalise’s eyes grew big and she stared at Kanami. “Friends? You want to be my friend? After everything you saw, and with everything every one is going to be saying?” Annalise asked with a surprise. Kanami still smiling spoke in a cheery voice. “Of course! Don’t you?” Annalise shock her head yes and smiled. She thought to her self “My first friend huh? I won’t tell her that tho, at least not yet.” The bell rang for lunch. The girls had already missed the last class due to the fight and hiding in the classroom. “Oh no I missed my first potions class.” Annalise signed. Kanami patter her on the arm. “Let’s just go get some lunch the rest of the day will get better.” The two girls left the classroom and headed to lunch.

They arrived at lunchroom and entered. As soon as they did the room fell into hushed whispers. Every time they passed someone they would catch the same words “That’s them, that’s her the sorcerer’s daughter!” A couple of other students backed away when they came to get in line for food. One left the line all togather. The girls tried to ignore them and got their food. “Do you want to sit together?” Asked Kanami “Sure, that would be nice. Thanks.” Annalise answered. They found a near by table and sat down. There were three girls that were sitting there when they arrived. As soon as Annalise sat down the three girls gasped gathered their things and left. Annalise felt sad and ashamed. “I’m sorry, people aren’t going to want to be around me and if you’re around me they won’t want to be around you either.” She spoke softly. Kanami looked at her then placed her brownie on to Annalise’s plate. “Here eat that, chocolate cheers people up. And as for everyone else when they get to know you they will calm down don’t worry about it.” Kanami smiled as she spoke. Annalise had never had anyone try to cheer her up. It felt really nice, she smiled back. “Thank you!” She said happily. The two girls ate their lunch and ignored the whispers Annalise lifted a bite of brownie to her mouth but before she could eat it a hand swung down and smacked it out of her hand. Annalise and Kanami both looked up. Standing beside Annalise were three girls. In front was a blue eyed blonde headed girl her hair in perfect curls. Behind her were two girl who looked to be twins both straight shoulder length straight light brown hair and green eyes. Their arm all cross against their chest. The blonde one spoke “You think we are just going to forget what you just did? You think you can just come in here and scare people? You think I will let you come into my school and just do as you please?” The two behind her then spoke “You think Sarah will let you get away with this? She the strongest witch in the school and on the disciplinary counsel.” Annalise said nothing and just stared at the brownie that was now in the floor. Kanami could tell she was fixing to lose it again cause the hair on her arms started to stand up with static. Kanami places her hand on Annalise’s. A spark ran through both girls again and they looked at each other.
