Under a clear and beautiful night a young girl was found dancing along withing the chambers of her castle. She danced within the lonesome ballroom. The walls were coated in ivory and the floor was glazed over with a checkered pattern of milk and honey. The windows went from just a few inches from the floor and all the way up until they stopped a few inches from the ceiling. Pillars outlined the room, each one placed between two windows, their carvings spiraled up all around the thick stone.
The girl danced in the middle of the glass floor, covered in white beautiful fabric and golden jewelry. It flowed wonderfully behind her as she danced, a smile rested upon her red stained lips, and her hair danced within the wind of the opened windows. The moon's light reflected against the girl's pale skin and hair. Her crimson eyes shimmered and expressed joy within them. Her bare feet stepped on the cool ground as she spun around. A captivating melody escaped from her throat.
Even though she was alone in the castle she still expressed happiness. The girl wasn't alone. Not physically at least. Inside her heart was another. That person was absent for the moment but she knew they'd return soon. She knew it with all her heart and soul. As the night rolled on and the girl danced a sudden sound of a door opening came from behind her. Her dance came to a stop and her pale frame turned. A grin broke as her eyes narrowed, her heart pounded and her feet ran towards the person who had just return.
The scenery quickly changed. The girl was now running towards others. She now wore armor and she held a sword stained with blood. The sun was red, just as the sky, the sounds of horrid cries surrounded her. All around her, monsters fought one another, the ground on which they were standing on had became a blood bath. Those who stood in the girl's way were slaughtered with no mercy. She had no compassion for those who had betrayed her.
Her running came to a stop when she arrived to a stony tower or should it be called a pillar? On the very top stood a girl, a devilish grin bore her face, her crimson eyes shined with excitement as they landed on the girl in armor. Her hair was pitch black and she wore torn and tattered fabrics that flew in the harsh wind. Blood covered her face, stained her dress. The girl standing on top of the pillar had no use of armor for she wasn't fighting, she was leading.
Next to her stood a man. A man the girl in the armor knew oh so well. Her heart cringed and her eyes pained. Her grip on her sword loosened and the girl on the pillar noticed this. Her mouth opened and she burst out laughing. Her crazed eyes peered down at the girl, mocking her, taunting her. The girl spoke in a language long forgotten by humans. Tears stung at the young girl's eyes as her grip on her sword once again regained its strength. Gritting her teeth, the young girl lunged foreword.
She climbed the tall pillar and went to attack the blackened girl but was easily stopped by the man who stood at her side. Tears were now streaming down her face as she was struck down. The girl cried out in pain as her body hits the floor. The man held his sword high above his head as he came falling down on top of the girl. Before his sword could come in contact with the girl the man was ordered to stop.
He hopped off of the girl and the blackened one climbed down her pillar, grace and pose filling her every step. "This is what a true Queen looks like," the blackened girl spoke as she neared the fallen warrior. She loomed over the girl, her eyes screaming with pure joy. Her icy hands laced down and cupped the girl's cheek. "You've had your chance my dear and you chose the wrong side." Her eyes grew sad for a moment, hurt even, as she stared down at the girl, "It is a shame, we could've ruled together, be together. But your heart has grown weak." The girl's eyes narrowed and she spat on the blackened girl's cheek. "I would've never allowed this! I will never let you accomplish your plans. You are no Queen Titania, maybe once upon a time, but all you are now is a monster!"
The sadness in Titania's eyes quickly faded and they went dark. Her crimson eyes struck fear into the girl's heart and she gulped. "Tianna..." Titania said in a soft but threatening voice. "I love you so much....but you can be so naive." As Titania spoke she leaned in and kissed Tianna softly. Tianna felt a sharp, stinging pain from her tongue and s warm coppery taste filled her mouth. Both of the girl's cheeks grew red, as Titania sucked on Tianna's tongue, drinking her blood. Their crimson eyes glowed a dark hue and they stared into each others eyes before Tianna's eyes widened in terror and pain.
Titania pulled away from the kiss and laughed darkly as she slowly pulled her arm from Tianna's rib cage. Blood gushed from her chest as the young girl cried out in pain. The battle had stopped at its warriors stopped to watch their leaders. Many had horrid and shocked expressions painted on their face while others had expressions of joy and victory. Titania pulled away and walked back over to her knight who watched Tianna carefully as she bled out in pain. Titania ran her long tongue against her forearm and hand over and over again, licking up the blood. "You lost my love....accept it and die," Titania said harshly.
Titania turned her back to the dying girl and started to walk back up the stone pillar she had made to make an announcement. "No..." Titania stopped and looked behind her. Tianna was on her feet, using her sword as a support system. "I will not allow this. I will protect them. I will protect them!" Tianna screamed. A surge of energy flowed through her and her skin rippled. Titania's eyes widened and her body stiffened. She braced herself for what was about to happen. Tianna's skin bubbled and rippled as her body burned. Her armor melted off and as did her skin. She hunched her body foreword before flinging it backwards and screaming out. Her skin tore and stretched as a monster formed, forcing its way out of her body. Its long talons tore up Tianna's skin and it was now free. At first glance one would assume this monster was a dragon. It had the form of one, but of course it wasn't. The wings were too small and it had no tail. Its teeth were so large they didn't fit in its mouth and its pupils were so wide there was barely any crimson color to be seen. Its eyes fixated on Titania, it let out a horrid wail.
The monster charged. The knight sprang into action and charged towards the monster but in his current state he was no match for a high tier. The monster warriors stared in shock as they finally saw something that has never been seen before. A Queen showing her true form. Tianna flung the knight to the side and made her way to Titania. Titania's eyes narrowed as Tianna raised a claw to strike. Titania easily stopped the attack with a simple block. "Did you forget, I am stronger than you, my dear Tianna," the girl said with a pitiful smirk, "you are no match for me!" Grabbing Tianna's arm Titania lifted the monster into the air and threw her with ease. Tianna crashed into the building that was once her home. "Unlike you I have no compassion for those who aren't of my kind. They are only meek pray my love. Why do you care so much," Titania spoke as she walked towards the recovering monster.
Tianna shook the rubble off of her and focused on the darkened Queen. She opened her mouth and her mouth started to feel heated. Titania's eyes narrowed as she broke into a run. Tianna's attack was done charging but before she could release it Titania had already closed in and jumped into the air. She kicked the monster's jaw and Tianna's head flew to the side, her lightening attack hitting the bystanders. "You truly disappoint me," the Queen sighed. She landed on her feet and watched the exhausted beast.
"Have sweet dreams, my sweet and loving ---" Titania raised her fist. Tianna watched helplessly as the Queen attacked her over and over again. Finally the Queen took Tianna's sword and ran it through her last heart. Tianna's eyes drew to a close as the Queen walked away. The last thing she had heard was her laughter. Titania had won. Tianna had failed in saving them, all was lost now.
Yuna's fluttered open as the sun's rays hits her face. Tears rolled down her face and as she sat up she placed a finger to her wet cheeks. "What kind of dream was that," she asked herself in a soft voice. It was such a strange dream but at the same time it felt like Yuna has been there before, a long, long time ago. Dancing in that lonely castle, fighting on that dreadful battle field. Her gaze lifted and she glass eyes peered out of the window.
A sunny day with no rain. The shy was clear and birds were chirping. How odd, she thought. She got out of bed and got dressed for school. After fixing her hair, Yuna left her room. She didn't even notice that the pendent she always wore was sitting on her dress and not around her neck. She happily walked down the wooden hallways to greet her grandmother. A happy day it was for her. She felt light and her body was at ease. She couldn't understand why and she was far too happy to question it.
Yuna and her grandmother ate and held up many conversations this morning before Yuna had to head to school. Saying goodbye she left for school. Today she felt no ill feelings as she walked down the long steps and past the forest. She felt no eyes on her. She arrived to school and instantly spotted Sou and Casey. She ran over to them and greeted them. They greeted her as well, they both had big smiles on their face and Casey hugged Yuna's small frame.
When she entered class she sat in her seat and looked next to her. Rowen was no where to be seen. Yuna blinked a couple of times, huh? Who was Rowen? She stared at the empty seat next to her and suddenly her chest felt empty. The longer she stare the more empty she felt like she was becoming. What was this feeling? It was so strange.
Her attention quickly turned when the teacher called out her name and she answered with a, "Here!" and all her thoughts and empty feeling flooded away. The happy and care free feeling returned and her smile only grew. Yes, there was nothing to worry about. There was no such thing as monsters or wars or Rowen, they were all fiction. Only happy things existed within Yuna's life.
