“Put that one in here, the blonde is to be put in area X.” I hear a strange, cold, demanding female voice speak. And suddenly I feel cold metal ground underneath me, like I had been thrown to the ground. I try to open my eyelids, but they feel too heavy to even bother, so I find myself waiting on the cold hard ground to fully wake up.
It felt like hours, but finally I was able to move a finger. And quickly after, I opened my eyes.
I quickly take in my surroundings. I was in a metal cell, like a prison cell. But there weren't bars along one wall, just a solid black door. There was a single cot on the opposite side of the wall, and beside the bed was an indent in the wall, where the toilet laid, the sink beside it. There was also a surveillance camera over the bed. It's position allowed it to see every part of the room, other than the toilet thank goodness.
I remember what had been said before I was pushed in here. They took Taku to area X, whatever that is… I feel tears enter my eyes as I realize the situation I am in.
I should never had agreed to go with Taku… No, I should have convinced him not to try capturing a demon in the first place… I sigh in defeat as I stand up. I take another look at the plain room as I sit down on the cot. There was a single, worn down blanket, and a lumpy, hard pillow.
“Wh… what’s going to happen to me, grandpa?” The tears roll down my cheeks as I curl into myself on the bed. Now even Taku’s not with me… I was terrified. Terrified about what would happen to Taku. Terrified of what grandfather would say. Terrified of what the exterminators are planning. Terrified of the demons. Terrified of my future.
And… confused.
About everything.

I wasn't sure when I had fallen asleep, but I woke up when a bang sounded from outside my door. I immediately sit up and watch the door, when a scream sounds throughout the building. I quickly cover my ears with my hands, trying to block out the horrible noise. The way the scream sounded, I couldn't tell which direction it was coming from while within my room. It was the same as all the other times it had happened. It always happened three times a day. Before breakfast, after lunch, and after dinner. It's easy to tell because they give me three meals a day.
The food gets delivered through a slot on the bottom of my door, but no one ever shows their face. They don't even say anything to alert me to the food, they just slide it in and then walk away.
After two hours the screaming stopped, and another clank sounded. I perk up as footsteps pass by my door, but it remains unopened. It had been eight full days and not once have the exterminators opened my door, or even talked through it. If all I hear are footsteps and screams for the rest of my life, I will surely go insane.
I was already hearing things that I'm unsure are real or not. Like a loud heartbeat that comes out of nowhere and beats faster and faster and faster before disappearing completely. Or murmuring; quiet enough I can't hear the words, but loud enough that I can't ignore it. When the murmuring sounds, I find myself trying to listen to it closely. Though every time I think I'm able to make out a word or two, it goes quiet. As if it holds secrets I'm not allowed to know of. The only words I've heard are: blood, monster, future, pain. Pain is a common one, as well as stop.
I spend my days huddling in the corner on my bed, my head between my knees. I often rock back and forth to keep my body busy. I'm sure that I look as if I belong in an insane asylum. Perhaps that is what this place is? I've gone insane so they've stuck me here. Perhaps I just don't remember nurses coming or doctors, or how I actually got here in the first place. Yeah… that must be it.
I jump as my door opens.
Standing in the doorway are three people. Two muscular men and a slimmer nurse-like lady. They remain silent as the men come over to my spot on the bed. I wasn't completely sure they were real. The men forcefully grab me and pull me from the bed and onto the ground, before dragging me out of the room.
“Careful with this subject, he's brand new and untouched,” the lady tells the men, who remain silent. We begin walking down the very long, and very bland hallway. Metal doors lined the right side of the hallway, like my own room. The left was mostly bare, but every once in awhile we'd pass by large double doors, with labels on the sides: Testing Room 1, Testing Room 2, Dissection Room, Blending Room, Testing Room 4, Insertion Room, and of the like. Though we never passed by a third testing room, which peaked slight curiosity inside me.
We stop at the Insertion Room. The lady opens the doors after sliding an ID card of sorts through some reader. Once inside the room I notice one large chair in the middle of the room that had arm and leg restraints. It also has an interesting helmet the over it that seemed to have shots, or needles, connected to it.
“Hook him up.” The lady tells the men and I'm practically thrown into the chair before they bind me down to it. I have a moment to notice that the left side of the room had a few tables with many strange liquids on top. They were clearly labeled, but I couldn't read the lettering from where I was. The lady had gone over to a large computer, and it appeared as though she was reading over something. Then she glances at me and slams her hand over a button.
The helmet moves towards me, before latching onto my head. After another moment the needles I had spotted before shoot downwards into my head, causing me to jerk at the sudden pain, and a pained grunt slips through my lips.
Then the nurse goes over to the liquids, the chemicals. After a moment she chooses a bright green one that looked more than a little bit radioactive. The helmet, that was now in my brain, had tubing connected to it that crossed the room before connected to this large device, where the lady dumps the chemical. I watch as it slowly moves through the tubing, making its way to the needles, which would then lead to my brain.
