Chapter 3 -- Boy's will be Boy's

Chapter 3 -- Boy's will be Boy's

Dec 06, 2017

The bus ride was awkward, noting that he never said a word to me, just looked out the window. His reaction when I told him would have made me laugh if he hadn’t glared at me with so much hate that it was almost hard to ignore. I just looked at the many kids, once in a while glancing at him, only to see him already looking at one point. He automatically looked the other way. Great.

“Can you talk or what because I was you talking to my sister’s best friend yesterday and yet can’t talk to me?” I was beginning to become easily angered by this boy. Yet having no idea why. His entire demeanor angered me to no end.

He looked at me with a dread that hurt to see, but yet wonder that it made his ruby eyes look unusual. More than they already did.

“She was nice and made a good impression the first time I met her. You, on the other hand, did not. I just guessed you were a little-spoiled brat who didn’t know his place.” He smiled smugly at me.

“ I was only being rude because- you know what. I don’t need to explain myself to you. You obviously have no respect for anything or anyone that is around you. Maybe you should learn some manne-”

He turned towards me, anger obvious in his eyes.

“Manners! You really want to explain manners to me Church B- Oh no I’m sorry, Pinny. Which is, by the way, the stupidest name in the wor-”

“How dare you insult my name like that Liam!! You have no reason to insult me like that when you yourself have no self-respect for anything you do!!!!” I yelled, catching the attention of many of the members of the bus, which I couldn’t myself to care any less about.

“Self-respect is a funny thing there Church Boy. You seem to have none with smiley faces with charms on that baby-blue bag you carry on the bus, what are you, 3!?!”

“I-” He cut me off, smiling content as I flushed red with embarrassment.

“Not to mention you called my eyes pretty the first time we met. You came-” He put his hand right near his face, “this close to me!! If I didn’t know any better I might have guessed you were a gay like your entire family probably is!!!” He yelled at the top of his lungs, letting his face show every amount of hate he had for me. Yet, his eye’s showed very, very little hate in them.

I stood my ground and yelled back, “And guess who blushed at what I did, YOU!! I don’t know about you but blushing shows signs of embarrassment, and if I didn’t know any better Liam, I would have guessed that you were a queer by that way you acted. You have no reason to yell at me about being gay when you were obviously blushing at the fact that a boy as handsome as me was close to you!!!!!!”

He blinked a few times, looking at me with anger I flinched when he took my shoulders and shoved me so that my back hit the edge of the seat across from me. I howled him pain, getting up quick enough that to lunge at him and hit his head against the window. He bucked his hips and knees, causing them to hit my stomach. I went in and ignored the urge to puke all over his ugly face, give him a piece of his own pie. I grabbed his hair and threw a punch, a weak one but seemingly him on the side of the face. He screamed grabbing my shirt and switched positions so quickly that I almost missed it. He took his fist and curled up into a white-knuckled hold, punching me square in the nose and face. I yelled, but before I could take back my control, I realized that bus wasn’t moving anymore and that the bus driver was pushed past many wide-eyed students towards us, Liam didn’t stop though. He took a better hold of my shirt and got two good punches before being pushed back, he screamed,

“You LITTLE BASTARD! You WILL pay for this!!” He pushed me back towards the window. I felt all the blood rush towards my nose and eyes. He was put all the way in the front of the bus before the driver rushed back towards me, by the time I could make an audible “You okay Pin?” His voice was a faded blur as my much-needed rest came rushing into my brain and I fell asleep in the arms that engulfed me and lifted me up, my mind was nothing but Liam for only a few seconds.
