A/N: This is the classic word challenge writing prompt thingymajiggy. If you haven't heard of it before, basically you are given random words and you have to do your best to incorporate all of them. My challenge also had a time limit. I had 20 minutes to fit in four words in my prompt. These are my words. Dusty, Shrill, Chase, Flood.

Another bead of sweat dribbled down my forehead and I swear, I was going to cause a flood if the current circumstances didn't change. I gripped Shawn's hand tightly as we stood pressed up against the wall, almost crushed by all the other people shoved into the room like a package of sardines. He gave my fingers a squeeze and I took a deep breath.

"Don't worry, Diana. We escaped once, we can do it again." Shawn said with determination and another squeeze of my hand. Shawn was referring to the moment when they were still hoarding people on to their ships. Amongst the chaos, Shawn and I managed to slip passed a few of their guards, but they chased us down fairly quickly and I had barely enough time to see the Indiana skyline one last time.

A shrill scream, pierced my eardrums and I was brought back to the present. Soon the whole room was filled with cries and screams.

"Someone's been shot." Shawn said curtly. His voice sounded strained and it peeked my interest. I stood up on my toes to get a better view, but Shawn pushed me back down. "Don't." He simply said and I obliged.

"Who was it?" I asked, fear bubbled in my chest.

"Dusty."

I instantly felt my heart shatter into a million pieces.

I know it's not much, but I think it's pretty good for the short amount of time I had. My friend and I were doing the challenge together and she's actually on Wattpad! You can check out her words at Rosebuds96. She said it was funny watching me write cause my head stayed from side to side as I was thinking. I explained to her that even though it looked like I was staring all around the room, I was really following my characters around in my head.
