When we had finally finished our training, I was covered in bruises and cuts. I was breathing heavily while Ryuu had barely broke a sweat. He looked unamused, the sword was balanced on his shoulder.
“Pick up your sword. We’re not done here.” He commanded, nodding towards the bokken that lay on the floor beside me.
It was clear to see that Ryuu was enjoying this. My fingers closed around the bokken and with shaky legs I rose to my feet and raised the wooden sword; my arms felt like they were filled with lead. He didn’t hesitate, Ryuu was quick to disarm me, grab me by my wrist and hurl me to the ground. I gasped for breath, tears gathered in my eyes and anger welled up in my chest. I’ve had enough.
“Get up!” Ryuu commanded, a smirk played on his lips. “It’s okay to cry.” He sneered.
I got to my feet, and wiped the tears from my face, “No! I’m done, I’ve had enough!” I said, making my way to the front door. I needed to get out of here, I couldn’t say in here anymore or I would start crying. And I did not want to do that in front of Ryuu.
“Done? Chiyoko didn’t say stop! Where do you think you’re going?” Hiss Ryuu as he moved to cut me off.
I rounded on him, “Away! I need to get away! So, leave me alone!” I cried out and Ryuu stopped in his tracks, a perplexed look on his face appeared as if he was surprised that he had stopped. I glared at him before shoving the door open and leaving the building.
From inside I heard Chiyoko speak to Ryuu with soft spoken words, “Let her go, she will learn in her own time.”
I huffed and walked away from the sushi restaurant. Like hell I’ll be able to learn anything with Ryuu you beating with a stick the whole time.
