A frozen dragon carcass was discovered in Greenland. Scientists instantly jumped on the opportunity to try and grow one in a lab. Once they were successful, they started changing genetics, trying to make the perfect creature. After hundreds of experiments and prototypes failing and dying at an embryo stage, they went to drastic measures and used dna of reptiles and mammals to perfect the missing links in the dragon dna. Their changes were successful, but what if they disrupted mother nature too much?
