Summary of this episode: We get more explanation about devils and we get introduced to Noriel!! Kana's adoptive sibling, who seems to be a hybrid between an angel and a devil.
This never gets explained on the comic cus it's insignificant but, the angels/society on the island is very brutal and see aggression like this as normal. They don't see anything wrong with it or get very perturbed at the sight of literal torture. Some might actually feel bad about it, not everybody is a monster, but they wont do anything about it. Cus why would they.
