I've always been alone. Whether at school or at home. I've no friends. No parents. No siblings. Well, that last statement is a lie. I do have an older brother, his name is Cait, and by the way, he's so over protective of me. Like, if I tell him that I like someone, he’ll ask to meet them, I always say no, and then he’ll pick me up from school the next day and ask who it is. And when I tell him, he’ll take one look and say, “ No, he’s not good enough for you”, or “I don't want anyone touching my baby, so stay away from him”. It’s honestly so annoying to have him around, but, he’s the only person I've got.
Anyway, I'm Max Wood and I'm 19 years old in my second year of college. I lived in Atlanta, Georgia when I was in first grade, up until my first year of college. I'm also an exchange student at a university in Korea. It's not hard living there, if you were wondering. To tell the truth, I'm used to it. When I was around a year old to when I was 5, I lived in Korea. South Korea, not North Korea. I am also of Korean decent so it wasn't that nerve wracking for me. Though I did have trouble when greeting people and I know that that will be something held against me.
There is a special person who I see, and, mind you, it's not a crush or anything, it's a teacher. This teacher is like no other. She's smart and she doesn't already hate me! I usually end up on every teachers’ bad list within the first tenth of a second I meet them. She actually teaches an English course on the weekends that I plan on helping with. Any way I like this teacher, and over the course of the first month of college, she easily became like a friend to me.
On the first day of October, I met someone. He's the school’s most handsome student and also the smartest. His name, Safer Kim. I honestly don't know how a man can be that gorgeous. His sleek, black hair and dark, hazel eyes are so beautiful. He wears a silk white shirt most days and some ripped blue jeans and black Converse high tops. He's always surrounded by girls and boys. Everyone loves him. Including me. The moment I saw him, I knew it was love at first sight. For me, at least.
