"Cait, I'll call you back." I hang up on my brother. And then I turn and face the person in front of me.
"Are you alright?!" Safer asks, genuinely concerned. "Why haven't you gone to school?" Ever since Jerk kissed me, I haven't gone to school. "Are you sick? Where does it hurt?" His expression is one that belongs to a person that is so scared right now. God, why did you make such a person so adorable? "Or was it the kiss?" He looks at my face for clues. "It was the kiss." He says it like he's taking a note or something.
"I'm fine," I tell him. "You don't have to worry."
"If you're fine, I'm fine." He takes a seat on the sofa in my living room. "So, shall we get to work?"
"We shall," I say as I take a seat next to him with my laptop.
"So, New Jersey. N-E-W *space* J-E-R-S-E-Y." I tpye in.
"By the way, this project is due in a week." He informs me. I am mentally panicking. Just then, my doorbell rings. I open the door.
"Hey!" Cait stands in the doorway motioning for a hug. I give him one and he starts kissing my forehead. I pull away and tell him that I have company. "Hi, I'm Cait and thank you for taking care of my little bro." He tells Safer as he shakes his hand.
"So, you're brothers? Now that I look closer, I kinda see the resemblance." Note the use of "kinda" in his sentence. Me and Cait don't look exactly alike but we have the same hair, eyes, skin, and nose. If I wasn't so small and skinny, you'd might as well call me a "smaller version" of Cait.
"So, what are you guys doing?"
"A project on New Jersey." Safer tells Cait.
"New Jersey?! Max and I once lived there!"
"Really? I didn't know that" I almost don't exist in the conversation. "But, then again, I did hear something about Max living in America. So, you speak English? That's cool, I'm from Sweden and I speak the language the use there." He said it's cool that I speak English!
"Anyway, let's get back to work." I remind him. "This project is due in a week."
"Can I help you with anything?" Cait interjects. I give him an icy glare colder than Suga's. "I guess not. I'll just go and make something to eat. If you need me don't hesitate to ask, 'kay?" Cat's so lucky. He's smart, athletic, good at cooking, tall, muscular, and he's hot. And here you have me. A literal potato. Short, skinny, could be passed as an idiot, not athletic, not hot, and never to be allowed in the kitchen. That night, Safer stayed over and so did Bro. We finished the project and Cait checked it over and said that we're bound to get an A+.
The next day, I walked to school with Safer and Bro stayed at my apartment, cleaning and making sure to stay out of my room. I hope.
