I'm running as fast as my little legs can run. But apparently I'm not fast enough because I hear the close proximity of cracking wood behind me, but instead of slowing down this pushes me run harder and faster. Then all a sudden arms wrap around my waist and hold me close, I try to scream but they put a tight hand over my lips.
"Shhhh it'll be alright" I nod, it is a voice of a woman. The sound of her is so soft and crisp and gives me warmth and reassurance that everything really will be okay. She then removes her hand when she feels me relax and softly rubs my hair.
We wait a few minutes like that before running again thinking that he's looking in a different part of the forest.
She's faster than me so every so often she's lifting my feet off the ground. We run for what feels like forever until we see a shimmering light. I try to take a step forward but she puts a hand in front of me shaking her head no. That's when she whispers "Stay back" her motherly voice has changed into authority, but I give her a tight nod and stand firm in the spot she's left me in. Walking forward she gives a aura of determination and strength.
I stay in that spot scared for what feels like an eternity, then all of a sudden I hear it, a howl. Its shakes me to the core mainly because it sounds of pain. I run forward forgetting the woman's command to stay back and find that the shimmering light is coming from a rusty old shed. Opening the already open shed door wider I peek inside. Then look around and notice a lot of blood on the floor, following the trail I see that it connects to the woman who left me, that's when my world turn black.
I wake up screaming with my bangs sticking to my forehead, and shirt clinging to my body. Looking around I find that I am no longer in the shed. This comes to no surprise the nightmare always ends there.
I turn to look at my clock it's 5 am. Same time as usually. No surprise there.
Getting up I decide I might as well go to take a shower and get ready for work given that I’m already up.
Shutting the door and locking it. I turn to the mirror to check to see the damage done this time. I see that my hair will need a good washing and that my my green eyes are red. I must've cried this time... bypassing that I take a deep breath and look to see what else is wrong.
That's when I see it a auburn color wolf. It’s fur looks silky and nothing like my hair but It has the same striking green eyes as me.
I jump back 'What the fuck!' Blinking I see that the wolf is still there. It stares at me with humor in its eyes "Idiot".
'Where the hell did that come from!?'
Looking around and checking the window I discover there is nobody there except for me. I turn to the mirror slowly and am filled with shock when I see my own reflection.
Shaking my head I try to calm my breathing. This must be because of stress.
Right....
