"ARE YOU HERE TO BE CAIN'S GUARDIAN?" the rich boy's guardian angel asked Aeragel.
It was late afternoon and Aeragel had been walking alongside Cain together with a large crowd that followed Jesus and his disciples on their journey to a city called Nain when the guardian angel queried.
"No," Aeragel said, explaining everything without words.
While humans communicate through audible sound, symbols, logical thinking, and other sensible things through a medium like air, angels connect mind to mind.
Pure mental perception in an instant.
As pure spirits, it is their nature to see the general idea all at once without taking the time to analyze it.
Unlike humans, angels have innate understanding of universal truths such as salvation, astronomy, and physics, before learning specific things from them, like the speed of light.
"So YHWH wants to put the dagger in the right hands," the guardian angel said.
"Lucifer Light-bearer must not have it again," Aeragel said.
Aeragel was an archangel, a warrior that fulfilled God's important missions for humans.
She did not have an exact living human body from a mother's womb that needed to breathe or eat. Her body was a mask created by spirits.
Concealed by her veiled desert nomad outfit was a person beyond human imagination, a rare angel to assume a woman's body.
Everything fell short of beautiful compared to her awesome spiritual splendor.
Her waist-long hair over flowed over her tall and curvaceous body like a cascading golden waterfall. The hazel eyes that graced her soul-chiseled timeless face expressed a more Godlike purity that anything in nature.
"Lady, are you all right?" the rich boy walking behind Aeragel spoke in the tongue of angels. Children below seven could still see angels and remember bits of their wonderful spiritual existence in heaven before their designation to a human shell on Earth.
Aeragel turned to the boy and answered in angelic language, "I'm fine. Why did you ask?"
People around them could only hear a whispering breeze.
Humans forget this pure language and lose their supernatural hearing ability when they listen to the world's sounds.
First to go is the third eye, blinded by the sights of the physical dimension.
Sometimes people get an impeccable feeling of joy. Of hope. A peaceful moment. It is the touch of an angel.
"Now you look like a woman; now you like a giant painted in space by dozens of tiny tornadoes," the boy said.
"I'm both woman and wind," Aeragel said.
"Oh, all right then," the boy said, walking ahead of Aeragel, "just in case you need help to enter the synagogue as a giant, I know a huge secret back entrance. I'll just be with my mother and father there in front walking close to Jesus."
"Thanks," Aeragel said.
The boy winked at Aeragel and joined his parents.
"He has a good heart," Aeragel said to the boy's guardian angel.
"The boy has a special part to play in the story of the Son of God," the guardian angel said.
"I see."
Jesus was teaching the people as he walked: "I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your heavenly Father, for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward will you have? Don't the tax collectors do the same? If you greet your brothers only, what is unusual about that? Don't the pagans do the same? So be perfect just as your heavenly father is perfect."
Satan was waiting for him at the gate of the city.
Invisible to human eyes, Lucifer Morning Star appeared as an androgynous king of the world whose long hair of soft pure gold was in constant motion as it formed and reformed the crown on his head. As Jesus drew near the gate, the devil turned around and walked ahead of Jesus to flaunt his robe of flowing mirrors bedecked of precious gems that went as far as the eyes could see.
The wind blew and his flapped and groaned, revealing a pale naked body with two rows of swine breasts.
"Messiah my assiah," Satan hissed. "You know what's the most excruciating part of this farce?" In an instant, he was right beside Jesus, whispering in his ear. "Discovering that you're nothing but a carpenter's son after all. Nothing but a miserable second-rate trying hard false prophet."
Satan was now standing on top of the gate, his robe covering and darkening the whole city. "Enemies will surround you like a pack of dogs. They'll pierce your hands and feet. You'll look for a friend but will find none. You'll be all alone and you'll die a shameful death."
Jesus did not say a word.
At the gate, they met the funeral procession of the only son of a grieving widow. People with her were also crying.
When Jesus saw the widow, he was moved with pity for her and approached her.
"Do not weep," Jesus said. He stepped forward and touched the coffin.
At this the bearers halted. Everyone fell silent, waiting to see what would happen next.
"Young man, I tell you, arise," Jesus said.
The young man sat up and spoke, "God has visited his people."
And Jesus took him by the hand and gave him to his mother, who was at a loss for words, falling prostrate and kissing Jesus' feet in gratitude.
A supernatural dread seized the people, but they remained standing around Jesus exclaiming, "A great prophet has arisen in our midst."
Satan slapped his arms to get rid of the goose bumps that had sprouted all over them, and left. The city brightened.
Aeragel, the rich boy's guardian angel, and the guardian angel of each person at the gate and in the whole city praised and glorified God.
Cain, the only person in the world without a guardian angel, placed his hand on the Morning Star's dagger surreptitiously tucked in his waistband and muttered, "Jesus, are you the one who is, who was, and who is to come that my mother foretold?"
"Be careful with Adam's firstborn," another guardian angel said. "Cain was the original human-borne prototype. The man's like us. As powerful and dangerous as Lucifer Light-bearer himself."
"And beautiful," Aeragel said.
Cain was the fairest of all human beings ever created. Looking at him always called to mind the most beautiful thing one had ever seen, so he never looked the same in the eyes of the beholder.
Cain had the strength of a spiritual being.
The heart of an angel.
And the mind of a demon.
When Cain killed his brother Abel in cold blood, he became the world's first murderer. God dismissed Cain's guardian angel and banished the unrepentant sinner from His presence.
Adam's firstborn became a restless wanderer on the earth.
Cain could not stop.
He could not sleep a wink.
Yet Death could not come for him.
God put a mark on Cain so that anyone who killed him would suffer vengeance seven times over.
Even the devil and his demons stayed away from him. They wouldn't want Cain's soul in hell. Satan knew that with Cain's unpredictable disposition, the superhuman would wreak havoc in hell for all eternity.
Only a primordial curse could cast Cain's soul into the original unfinished creation, the bottomless pit called the Abyss. But no one of the spiritual beings would dare to perform a ritual that would kill Cain.
Cain became the Infinit.
The man who could not die.
Roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it for thousands of years without seeing death.
Out of spite, Satan, who always hated God's creation, sent people marked for death Cain's way. The devil was desecrating one of God's most precious creations by bloodying his hands.
Cain felt the Morning Star's dagger in human hands. He waited centuries for that to happen. His mother Eve told him stories about Church's power and he intended to use it to deal with Jesus. With his superhuman senses, it was easy for him to track the dagger's bearer.
Now by a nasty twist, Satan must retrieve his most precious dagger from the man he shunned since the beginning of time.
As they walked with Jesus to the center of the city, Aeragel detected the presence of one of the fallen dominations, a former commander of angels in heaven.
He had a goat's horn on a head formed by a triad of dog, bull, and ass. Atop the veiled lower part of his body were a naked green scaly belly, a woman's breasts, and human hands that made magical gestures every seven seconds.
A torch burned between his horns, lighting the pentagram on his forehead.
Baphomet. Demon prince of the spirits.
He was gyrating around the city at the speed of thought.
"Baphomet fulfills impossible missions," a guardian angel said. "Could it be about the Son of God?"
Aeragel sensed Baphomet's vibration strongest around her and Cain.
"He's here for the son of Adam," Aeragel said.
