Frisk dashed up to her room to get changed. Slipping out of the suit she wore for council meetings, she slipped into her usual blue and purple shirt and blue pants. Giving her arms a quick stretch, she headed on down to the kitchen.
On the wall was a door, painted with swirling blue symbols for what Sans called ‘Dramatic Effect,’ As frisk pulled open the door, what was revealed was not another room. Instead a swirling pool of blue filled the space. Sans had set it up when they first finished their houses on the surface. It connected their houses directly together. Sans had wanted to make sure that if they got in trouble, they could quickly get out of the house, or they could get in. It also made visits very convenient.
Frisk stepped into the portal, and felt her foot land on the wood floor on the other side. Soon the rest of her followed as she was transported into Sans’ and Papyrus’ house. It Looked exactly like their Snowdin house, from the placement of the rooms to the sock on the floor. In fact, after observing the plethora of notes around the sock, she was pretty sure both the sock and the notes were taken directly from the other house.
Frisk could hear Sans in the kitchen, singing a silly song about skeletons as he cooked. Chara was splayed across the couch, flicking through TV stations, as Asriel perched on the little space left and watched.
The only person Frisk couldn’t see was Papyrus, but a thumping sound was coming from his room, so she assumed he was up there.
As she walked over to sit on the couch, Sans called her into the kitchen.
“Hey kid, can I talk to you for a second?”
Frisk diverted her course, heading for the doorway into the kitchen, where Sans stood at the stove, stirring a bubbling pot.
“Hey Frisk. We haven’t talked in a while. How’s everything going? How’s life settling down up here?”’
‘Frisk smiled. “Everything is fine, for the most part. The council is attempting to dodge attempts from the humans to get rid of monster rights, but besides that everything is going fin.”
Sans grinned, shaking his head.
“Well, that’s how it goes. The humans don’t like the idea of a whole new people living near them, in their land. But they will just have to get used to it. We aren't moving any time soon.”
Frisk decided to change the subject.
“sooooooo…..Someone told me you and Tori are getting married?”
Sans began to turn a light shade of blue.
“Yeah...um…..I asked her a couple days ago…”
Frisk grinned.
“So, how did you ask her? During a walk in the woods? A stroll around town? In a field of flowers?”
Sans shook his head.
“Just…..look in that box over there….”
Frisk went over to the counter and picked up a medium sized ring box. When she opened it, she saw engrave in the lid:
‘I don’t know how to propose, could you give me a tu-TORIEL at the wedding?’
Frisk slowly closed the box.
“Sans….you…..asked Toriel…. to marry you…..With That?!”
Sans grinned. “Hey, It worked didn’t it?”
Frisk sighed.
“I suppose that’s true. Toriel also said..”
“I know. That you could tell those two.” He jerked his thumb toward the living room. “And i’m fine with that. As long as they dont go telling the rest of the town.”
Frisk grinned. “They won't. I’ll make sure of that.”
“In that case, can you go tell them that dinner is ready? I’ll be out in a moment.
Sans passed everyone plaits heaping with food. As everyone took their places, Sans cleared his, um, throat,
“Before everyone digs in, I have something i need to tell all of you. A couple days ago, I made a very important decision. I asked Toriel to marry me.”
Chara and Asriel’s jaws dropped.
“What, so does that mean….”
“Your marrying mom?!”
Sans chuckled.
“Yes. I am marrying Toriel. And you two…”
Sans smiled.
“You don’t have to…”
“So, when’s the wedding, Dad?”
Sans looked at Chara, obviously trying to figure out if she was being sarcastic, but her face was entirely serious.
Sans laughed. “I should have known you wouldn’t be shocked. The wedding is set for saturday.”
“Saturday?! But thats in 3 days!”
“Yep.”
“How could you be ready that fast?!”
“Kid, i’ve been planning this for a while now. Trust me, the wedding will be ready on Saturday.”
Chara nodded. Asriel had a big grin on his face.
“You know that im gonna use every opportunity to call you dad now, right?”
“Yeah, I Figured.”
