Day #1
Eeeeeeee!!!!!!! They have sprouted!!!!!! Eee!
Day #2
The pencil eraser in this picture is to give you an idea on how small these start out as.
Third picture# I've started to train the melon to grow up a the dried out stock of a giant type of ornamental grass. You may want to a trellis made of twine or thin strips of bamboo because it is thinner then the grass I'm using. Also, I noticed today that it's growing it's first true leaf as well. 2/6/18
Fourth picture: I've done another eraser comparison thing to show just how fast it's growing. 2/11/18
Mouse melons are also called Mexican Sour Gherkins and, like the garlic earlier, they love sunlight too. They are relatives of the cucumber plant and like them, love water but unlike most cucumbers they can be grown indoors on a small mini trellis or in a hanging basket outside(in theory). There's more but I'll wait until this one produces flowers before I continue.
3/5/18: When did I plant these again?..
