As the platform settled into a cave, everyone hurried off. Alphys pushed a button embedded in the cave wall, and the platform rose back up flush with the surface. Everywho huddled together with their friends and family, wondering what was happening.

Alphys, Sans and Life were huddled against one wall talking.As Frisk drew closer, she began to make out their conversation.

“Are you doing here?”

“Alphys, don’t pester him. He’s the only reason the kids and Mettaton could make it.”

“But still, it’s very odd timing.”

Life sighed. This is what he should have expected. They never trusted him at first. Except Sans. after all, he got what was going on.

“Actually, i think once you let me explain, you’ll see that it isn’t quite such odd timing. It is my duty to protect monster kind, no matter what timeline it is. I came here because i sensed great danger. And i will warn you, the humans won't give up. Sometime in the future, if you don’t find a way to protect yourselves or get out, you will all be wiped out.”

Frisk shook her head. All of this was very confusing.

“Can I ask one question? Who the heck ARE you?”

Life chuckled, before jerking his thumb at Sans.

“I’m him.”

Frisk nodded slowly, thinking of the talks with Sans that always made her head spin.

“From an AU right? Ok, i can accept that. And if i guess correctly, you have a plan.”

Life grinned.

“I’ll show you. Alphys, would you mind being away from everyone for a moment?”

Alphys nodded.

“I-If it’s just for a m-moment, it should be fine.”

Obviously the stress was getting to her.

“Well then, let’s go.”

And with that he waved his hand, and the world dissolved around them.
