They reached the rendezvous point just on time to see a silver van roll up. A rare sight to see considering most cars were now hovers. A Mexican man rolled down the window and leaned out. “Ay, May, haven't seen you in, what? Five years?” The young man high fived May.
“Heh, just ‘bout.” She chucked.
“Hey, just who is this guy?” Ace whispered to May over her shoulder. But… his whispering was terrible.
The man grinned. “I’m Gabriel. Me and May go way back. Now hop in before anyone comes.” They all piled in, Drake in shotgun and the others in the first row of seats.
May leaned over the driver’s seat to show Gabriel a map with marks on it. “Kay, Gabe, we need a pick up a few other people for this to work.” She showed him the routes.
“Kay, people, buckle up. Let’s get this show on the road! Wooh!” He smirked, suddenly accelerating.
“Are you sure he’s got this?” Eric asked, uncertainty in his voice, clinging to the handles like it was the end of the world.
She snorted. “Heck yeah! He’s my getaway driver sometimes.” She smirked, obviously enjoying herself.
Ace looked at her skeptically. “Getaway driver? May? Just what do you do in your free time?”
“Says the guy helping my best friend take over the world.” She retorted. “Besides, if you really want to know it’s-” She van rocked on a sharp turn. “Woah!” She grinned. “I bet Irene regrets not coming!”
“Are you sure this is safe!?” Ace asked, becoming an older version of Eric, his naturally dark skin turning chalk white.
“Ha! You look like me!” May shouted, her silver hair whipping around in the wind from the window. “Don’t worry guys!” She slapped him on the back. “We do this all the time! An’ I’m still alive!” She laughed in joy. “Besides, Gabe’s a street racer! He’s used to driving in tight spaces. We’re fine.”
In almost no time they had picked up Mary everyone being thrown around on the way back to Ace and Drake’s house. Screeching to a stop, May jumped out the open window over a nauseated Eric. She looked back at the road. “Oooohh, look at those speed marks!” She whistled, staring at a pair of black streaks on the ground going further than the eye could see. “Come on guys! Up and out! We’re back.”
The group came out wobbly and pale skinned, Mary falling face first in the grass. “Uhh. Let’s never do that again.” Drake suggested.
“Oh come on! It wasn’t that bad!” May said, giving Gabriel a high five. “Later, dude.”
“Yeah, see ya!” And with that, he skidded away.
May spun back around to the wobbling group. “Kay, people! Geeeeeeeett uuuup! We need a get inside and talk about our plan.” She shouted to the others as she helped them up.
“Plans for what again?” Mary asked woozily.
She snorted, trying to keep back a laugh. Man, she sounds like she’s drunk. “Our plans for a surprise party.” She said, winking, as not to give away their real plan.
“Wail, OoOh kay.” Mary replied woozily as May dragged her inside, the others stumbling in not long after.
Running inside May yelled, “WE’RE BACK!!!” As everyone else looked half dead.
Irene, looking concerned, said, “...Um…. Why is everyone ALMOST DEAD???”
Eric and Drake took a step back before saying, “We’re fine really!”
Irene, glaring at May, tried to settle down remembered, “Oh right…. I got confused about all this boring stuff… So I called over your brother, May.”
May turned her expression from a grin to a frown. “....Why?...”
Irene getting angrier said, “Didn’t I just tell you all this programming and hacking was sooo boring and you guys were getting the rest of the crew, by the way, hey everyone long time no see!” Happily waving at the newcomers quickly turned back towards May and said, “Do you have a problem with that… because I’m pretty sure I remember Me, IRENE, BEING IN CHARGE OF THIS PLAN!!!”
After that Irene turned back to everyone else, not even waiting for May to respond and explained everyone's specific task and later she asked May and Ace to take out their own targets off in South African countries under dictatorship and later left the house with her last words of “encouragement” for her own target.
“Hey everyone!..... Wish me good luck and DON'T SCREW UP!!!” And with that being said, she left with two programmed soldiers, her sniper rifle, and a dagger off to kill her first target.
