Before I get into anything, I just want to say congrats to SpaceX for the successful launch of Falcon Heavy and landing 2/3 boosters! Glad they didn't blow up the historic launch pad lol.
So now, feel no obligation to read this. This is just for myself to remind me of my goals.
I have mentioned that I am overweight. And I have a goal for losing that weight. I want to lose it before May 3, because that is the next date our orchestra performs, and the last date I will be performing with them because I will be graduating. And I don't want to look like a sausage on my final performance, and be constantly aware of how tight my spanx are and how huge my belly looks and how much pain I'm in from the tightness. So I have gone online and looked up what my weight should be, and according to the online doctors' algorithms I should be around 125 lbs (the max I should be is 146.8 lbs). I am currently 153 lbs, so I have to lose 28 lbs before I am at an ideal weight. So I would have to lose an average of 1.87 lbs per week to get to my ideal goal before the concert. To encourage myself, I will be checking in every Monday and Thursday and recording my weight in this series. I apologize in advance, but keep in mind that this is (hopefully) temporary, and I will continue posting regular updates.
Now you might be thinking that I should love myself and all that fluff, but it's not that simple. It's fine to be overweight if you're healthy, but I'm not. I literally survive off of peanut m&ms, and haven't touched a vegetable in months. I never work out except from laughing at cat videos, which totally counts. I'll have abs when I lose the weight. I also have very bad knees and ankles, along with flat feet. I have collapsed in front of crowds because either my knees 'popped' out of their sockets (extremely painful would not recommend), or my ankles collapsed. I also have to wear expensive shoes with arch support so my feet aren't on fire after standing for a couple minutes.
Note: If you have read so far, kudos. But you really don't need the next part, it's boring as fuck. Even more so than what came before.
I have gradually gained this weight over the years, and I tried multiple times to lose it, but I only succeeded in losing a couple pounds before gaining back twice as much. My goal this time is to get in the habit of eating healthier and exercising so the weight stays off and I never have to go through this again. I have also tried eating healthier, but honestly I'm never going to spend time in the morning making breakfast (if I have to do anything before eating it, that counts as cooking). It's gonna be a pepperoni stick, muffin, or nothing, so I'll try to have a pepperoni stick every morning. Lunch is usually something from the vending machines (also, a bag of peanut m&ms used to be $1.75, but they raised it to $2. why? cause they're evil), but I'll try packing something, or just drinking a lot of water to cover up the rumbles. By no means am I trying to starve myself, I know that doesn't work, but if it's a choice between water and something filled with sugar I'm going for the water. Dinner is literally whatever we have in the house, so polish sausage with sauerkraut or spaghetti sauce with meatballs, or something similarly healthy. Any snacks will probably still be peanut m&ms, but that's ok cause they got nuts, and that's semi-healthy, right? Right? *sigh*
So that's it! My plans that have about a 50-70% chance of failing, same as the Falcon Heavy! Hopefully they're also a success. Such wow.
