I re-watched South Park Bigger Longer and Uncut and it brought back so many good memories from my otherwise sad high school years. It did influence my art and sense of satire...and nobody, not even the Simpsons and certainly not McFarlane, does social satire like South Park!

I agree that the toilet humor and dead Kennys are not to everyone's taste but once you go beyond that, you see complex and nuanced points on subjects that are often treated in a simplistic way by more serious comenters.

For example, I loved season 20. It was the best commentary on the Trump election I have seen and denounced the futile toxic nostalgia that invaded popular culture like a toxic vine in the past decade with the memberberries.

Few debates are more toxic than the "Atheism vs, Religious" thing but with "Go God, Go", They reminded us that most people are in somewhere in between "rational" and "emotional". No matter what label we put on it, we're bound to remain humans!

Quand on regarde derrière les jokes de merde et les Kenny morts, on se rend compte qu'ils ne choquent jamais pour rien et qu'ils offrent souvent un commentaire social que les autres manquent.

J'ai adoré la saison 20. Ils ont compris et expliqué comme personne l'élection Trump et ont dénoncé une nostalgie naive et étouffante avec leurs memberberries.

Un autre exemple: peu de débats sont aussi toxiques que celui entre les athés et les gens religieux. Avec "Go God Go", South Park nous a rappelé que, nous sommes tous entre le scientifique, rationnel, et le religieux, l'émotif. Nous sommes humains!
