Gabriel felt another case of deja-vu as he walked into once again a once empty room only to find another tiny body waiting for him. This time however Luciel was next to him as he tilted his head watching the other angel. Raphael, that's what his Father had named him. He was awake at this moment green eyes locked on theirs as he tilted his head giving a soft smile. Gabriel smiled back only to immediately frown when Luciel poked the baby hard in the nose. "What are you doing?" He practically yowled as Luciel took a step back looking antagonized. He had grown quite a bit being around seven years old his face dirty with some kind of soot.
"Was just playing with him." He mumbled toe tapping on the ground as he looked back over at Raphael. The baby looked calm as it just watched them its green pars flicking as it blinked tiredly. Gabriel smiled at him before shaking his head and grabbing onto Luciel's arm. "Come on Raphael needs sleep." He whispered.
"Yeah, okay." Luciel sighed following him out as they shut the door to the nursery. Climbing onto the edge of one of the mirrors he yawned as he glared at Gabriel. "Can I touch your wings?" He asked looking at the fluffy wings his brother now wore. A sign of being a teenager was the emergence of the wings and shrinking of the pars. Luciel liked Gabriel's wings, they were fluffy and soft and a nice white colour. They fit Gabriel although the older angel refused to fly which upset Luciel. He really wanted to see them in use but Gabriel was hesitant. Which was also the expression he had when Luciel had asked if he could touch them. Red eyes met blue till finally Gabriel nodded bowing and outstretching his wings so Luciel could reach them.
Letting out a squeal of excitement Luciel reached out running his fingers through each one enjoying the feel and the way Gabriel reacted. He could tell it felt good to the other cause he always smiled and sometimes would even shiver. This was still the case and the two stood there for about ten minutes till finally Gabriel pulled away looking flushed as he rubbed at the back of his head. "Okay stop." He ordered Luciel immediately pulling back as he nodded hands holding onto the hem of his robe as he tilted his head watching the elder.
"Can we go play?" He asked.
"I guess."
A couple hours later the two angels found themselves again walking through the halls. Luciel looked pleased his face covered in mud and his clothes burned away. Gabriel wasn't as dirty but he was just as upset as he attempted to wipe away the offending mess. The biggest offence of course was the mud that was now caked in his wings. It would take a good couple hours of preening to get clean again. He was just about to head to his room when he noticed something. "Luciel. Did you leave Raphael's door open?" He asked noting the wide-open door.
"No why," Luciel asked before noting the door. Thundering over to it he looked inside red eyes widening before he turned back to Gabriel. "He's gone." He explained.
"What?!" Gabriel yelled pushing past him as he burst into the room his eyes darting around trying to find any sign of the green eyed angel. He even went as far as to throwing some blankets around, checking under the bed and the closet. "Where could he have gone?" He asked heart pounding as he thought about what could have happened to him. "Luciel, start looking for him!" He ordered leaving the room as he headed to the empty one across from it.
"Uh, right!" Luciel yelped doing a fake salute before tearing off heading down the hall as he started to call the others name. "Raphael! Ray-Ray!" He called. Gabriel continued to search every room down the hall. He made it to the other end when he finally saw it. "Luciel!" He called as he headed over to the wide open door. He saw a flash of green and sure enough he found the baby angel heading over to the mud that Luciel and Gabriel had become acquainted to earlier. The little angel was smiling a bright white smile as he saw his older brothers tear towards him.
The little body had turned a bit and in the babies distraction he found himself slipping. Green eyes widened for a moment before he suddenly slipped out of view. "Raphael!" Gabriel yelped leaping after him uncaring about the mud as he half-ran, half-slipped down the hill. His hands just managed to wrap around Raphael's torso as he slipped falling backwards and carrying him with him. Landing on his back Raphael stayed nestled on his stomach as they finally made it all the way to the bottom. Completely covered in mud, Gabriel let out a groan as he leaned his head back only to splutter as Luciel came to a skidding halt beside them.
"THAT WAS AWESOME!" Luciel gasped jumping in the mud his eyes shining as he reached down nuzzling Raphael's hair as he continued to jump around in excitement. Gabriel glared at him for a moment as he shifted his grip on Raphael trying to get a better look at him. The baby was muddy but seemed happy as he looked down at Gabriel opening his mouth as he giggled. Gabriel was surprised by this before he shook his head and pulled him close enjoying the way the baby nuzzled against him. "You two are gonna be the death of me." He complained although the complaint didn't quite meet his eyes as a soft laugh escaped him.
Luciel's eyes widened in shock but the next second he leaped over landing next to Gabriel as he poked Raphael on the nose. Gabriel was about to reprimand the smaller angel when Raphael's small hands wrapped around Luciels fingers a look of amusement on his face as he Luciel poked him again.
Gabriel watched this silently before looking back up the mud hill. "Come on. Let's go back inside."
