Chapter 8
The knife slices through a thick, yet small, portion of steak.
“Terribly sorry if I frightened you, I just stopped by to see if Ethan has chosen to give up any information. And it is also Dinner Time. I’ll stay and keep watching while you go get yourselves some food.” says Alexander, seating himself in a chair across from Ethan, while Erin and Olivia dash out of the room.
Alexander sets his plate down on a nearby table, starring Ethan directly in the eyes. “Now, I know that You know that I, indeed, am the murderer that killed Addison Trevino. Nobody else has found out, not even Emma, my beloved sister.” He says as he gets up, leaning in front of Ethan, his face a foot away from Ethan’s.
“If you tell the others, I undoubtedly will confirm it with the others that You Killed Addison. If you do not tell them, you will continue to be a suspect. But, fortunate for you, I want to assist you. At the stroke of Midnight, another victim shall perish. I will kill then via stab wound to the head. Later, I will make it seem like an accident. The cover-up is as follows: the victim was changing the wood in the fire when a vase so happens to fall and break on their head, killing them instantly. I am killing them while you are tied up, ergo, you will be set free. I will keep my eye on you until then. Continue stalling for more time.” Alexander says with a smirk.
“It isn’t smart explaining your whole plan in detail, Mr.Wolfram, sir. Especially to a police officer. You don’t happen to know what I will do with this information, do you? I could, I dunno, Expose you? Tell the public? Have you arrested? Executed?” Ethan chuckles, his expression matching Alexander’s. “ The Possibilities are truly endless!”
Alexander backs down, returning to his seat. “Keep up that talk and a mental asylum is where you will be, you snake.” He gets up, grabs his plate, and marches out of the room. He gives Ethan one final look, before shaking his head in shame and closes the door.
Ethan hears his heavy footsteps as Alexander retreats to the dining room.
Ethan is left by himself. In the shadowy darkness. Alone. He twists his head around, flicking his tail. “This is a pretty pathetic shot at tying me up. It’s like tying up a dog with string! But they did do an alright job, I mean, It’s holding me in so…” He talks to himself.
He hears footsteps coming out of the darkness. Claws on his shoulder. He flinches and slowly turns his head around, trembling with fear.
The anonymous stalker was none other than Emma Wolfram.
