"You love me, right? If so, kill her."
Carl glared with horror at the other teen, who was dressed in full dark blood red from head to toe. He had held a knife offering it the poor protagonist, silently beckoning him to take it. What a nightmare but facts be told, Carl had loved him, ever so much, enough to kill for him. However, the pregnant woman standing right there had done nothing wrong and if anything, she had only wanted to help.
"She only offered you a drink, Jer. Don't you think that you're being too harsh?"
"HARSH?! SHE TRIED TO WIN ME OVER WITH A DRINK, SHE WAS CLEARLY TRYING TO FLIRT! KILL HER ALREADY!"
Carl stared.
"I can't..."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The nightmare had ended like so, Carl could barely breathe anymore and if anything, he must have screamed in his sleep because his mother stood in the hallway, She was pale as a sheet as if she had seen a ghost floating around or something like that.
"You okay there, Carlos? It's only 6 in the morning... tell you what, I'll make you breakfast before going to work, how does that sound." A faint smile had crossed her pale white skin.
"Sounds lovely. I'll be down in a minute."
With that, His mother had already left and went downstairs since Carl could hear her feet gently paddling down the stairs, barely making a sound at all. Looking at the clock, Carl could tell that it was as his mother said: 6am and it was a Saturday morning too. Carl sighed like always after a dramatical experience and looked out of the window. So much had happened in the last few days. Jimothy's house had burnt down, Jackson admitted to being guilty. Maria and Oscar were probably together, Same with Theo and Liam. Lastly, that nightmare about Jeremy, that little extract of a flashback.
Carl could have died at the moment. He hadn't heard anything from anyone since yesterday evening and he needed a break. Seriously needed a break. He tramped down the stairs, almost tripping once or twice before safely landing on the wooden floor.
His mother sat in the kitchen, looking exhausted and all, Carl felt so bad for waking her up then there was Brianna, who was shining. Not even joking, a small light had twinkled in her eyes.
"Why are you looking so happy in the mornings?"
Brianna stared at Carl. She smiled too but then stopped, remembering about the fire from last night.
"Oh, umm... morning, it's nothing really... just you know, a new interest, that's all really."
Carl nodded before saying something along the lines of:
"You have a date with Tilda or something because you know you shouldn't lie to me..."
Brianna blushed before violently shaking her head then back to her smile.
"It's not a date, it's a group study and plus, you should tag along since my friends kind of miss your hazelnut cuteness."
Carl growled in return but was still surprised that Brianna didn't deny the fact that she liked the curled up blond. Before long, a stack of pancakes had been placed on Carl's side of the table along with a glass of fresh apple juice. Carl smiled before reaching for the maple syrup and squeezing about half the bottle onto his pancakes.
Brianna stared but didn't question it. Mother just smiled knowing that Carl loved pancakes as they were his favourite.
"Carlos dear, run along to the grocery store later, will you? I have a shopping list but you know I'm extremely busy so go along, would you?"
Carl nodded, he would love to. He needed the new CD anyway and the music store wasn't far from the grocery store anyway.
"Will do."
Brianna glared a happy look as if saying 'Oh you're actually going out! Good for you!'
Carl shook his head in return before digging into his fluffy pancakes.
