"Carlos! Long time no see, how have you been?"

Carl turned around as a taller boy teen ran over, halfway tripping. He showed clearly glee in his smile and words. Oh, Carl remember him. The boy had been dressed in a football jersey with the word 'cool' written all over him and such.

"Almost couldn't recognize you for a moment, did you dye your back to hazelnut or something?"

Carl nodded, it was nice talking to someone normal for once. Terry Wilson. Terry had been a classmate in Carl's old school and seeing him just screamed home. The teen had held a few bags filled of nothing but food and not even healthy food either. Jocks nowadays...

Carl had stood peacefully in the vegetable aisle before the loud jock had ran in, basically out of nothing and invaded his personal bubble. Terry was nice, just a bit too loud was all.

"You doing shopping for your ma, right?"

Carl nodded slowly, trying his hardest to keep cool about the situation. It had truly had been a while since their last accidental meeting and if anything, they needed to catch up on life. However, Carl decided to just pick up a red crimson tomato, he smiled.

"Isn't this a lovely tomato? Looks like you, don't you think? All red and brainless and pretty much has no life."

Terry looked offended but still laughed it off.

"Savage dude, haven't seen you since last September so half an year and you're already roasting me first second?"

Carl laughed before placing the tomato gently in his basket. He looked at Terry properly, seeing that he had grew up even taller and definitely more good-looking but not Carl's type. Terry went babbling on about some shit, not like Carl really cared but then

"Did you hear about Jeremy Tinderly? He's moving back to here from Florida tomorrow and all. Did you two even break up yet? Because you know that he'll be all on you first minute."

"I broke up with him but it doesn't make no difference. He'll be all over me either way,  I'll block him off though. He can try still."

Carl was ready or at least tried to be. He was ready to see that demon again. Any day now.
