Hey y'all! I know it's been a while since I updated Beta Stratagem, so: I decided to take an impromptu hiatus because between getting ill, travelling and Christmas/New Year I was super behind and I needed to step away for a bit. The comic WILL be updating again, either this Friday or next Tuesday, and hopefully then I can update on-schedule until the end of this chapter (which isn't too far off). Thanks for sticking with and I hope y'all are having a good 2018 so far.

NOTICE: I'm changing Beta Stratagem's update schedule to Tuesday/Friday. I always forget on Mondays and end up posting them Tuesday anyway so I may as well roll with it
Heads up: there will be no Beta Stratagem pages this coming week (June 26-July 2)! I'm taking a total break from work (read: comics) and a partial break from the internet in general. Updates will resume as normal July 3.
Sorry for missing Beta Stratagem updates Monday & today! I straight-up forgot on Monday and with all the election chaos here, it slipped my mind today, too, plus I just looked over this week's pages and realised I need to make a quick change to one... but it's 2am and I desperately need to go to bed LOL. Hello everyone! Long time no see, here's another update:
Checkmate will be returning soon! I've started scripting & laying out ALL future pages (right through to the end of the comic...!) which will hopefully make things run a little smoother. Once I have my page buffer back for Patreon patrons (who get each page as soon as I finish it!), I'll start posting weekly again.
If you want updates and art from me in the mean time, I post VERY regularly on twitter (ryanradley) and tumblr (ghostmoor)! I'm also now on deviantart (reckingstacks) if that's your thing.
Hopefully y'all had a good summer. See you soon with new comic pages >:)

Regarding Checkmate: it will be staying on hiatus until I finish the fantasy zine I'm working on, because there was a lot of interest in it when I did an interest poll on Twitter and it's been sitting on the backburner way too long haha. Plus, I could use the $$ since it's going to be paid-for content. I also haven't had a chance yet to rebuild my Checkmate buffer, which I want to do before I start updating weekly again.
Regarding In Bloom: Man, launching that impulsively was probably a bad idea. HOWEVER! I am not giving up on it. I AM going to reconsider how I do it - style-wise, colour-wise, and how it's released - so there WILL eventually be an update of some sort for it. The characters are still dear to me and there's still a story there that I want to tell, I just need to have a bit of a reshuffle.

I finally stopped getting an error when I try to update Checkmate, so updates will resume as normal here this weekend! (I've actually missed a few updates, so it will be page 7 that goes up on Saturday, along with page 6 which I couldn't upload in March).

Hey folks, just a little note to say there will not be Checkmate updates for the next two weeks.
