Been a while. I blame the virus. But honestly, I still should have written in. For that I'm sorry, but I came bearing gifts: I have a new collection coming out!
I called it, Twelve.
I'm also going to be wrapping up Just a Thought! Fifteen new entries to round it all out to the coveted 100. That's been a fun ride.
I'm going to rather candid, Just a Thought was conceived as nothing more than a mere exercise for me to practice finishing things (one with varying degrees of success). And once I felt I had been completing things of such diminutive stature with satisfactory consistency, I began working on longer forms of work.
But then people started subscribing to 21 Entries From a Journal Full of Fantasy, as well as a message that was the absolute very thing I needed at the time (which I'll get to later), it just didn't sit right to leave everything so, ironically, unfinished. I just couldn't leave the group of people who just validated me with nothing to look forward to.
So this new collection of duodenary micro-stories about everything from heartbreak to Santa Clause is being written for you new peeps. Because I appreciate you reading my shit. It comes out December 12, because themes.
With this announcement, and the assumed future completion of Twelve, I'm going to quite pretentiously dub Just a Thought, 21 Entries, and Twelve the "Tezawan Tapas Trilogy". The Triple T. You get the point.
And while Twelve is most definitely a love letter to the site and subset of the site's users that find my work worth something, this Trilogy and it's entirety is going to be dedicated to a person in particular: Just Me (no not me).
While the new subscribers were quite the emotional and ego boost, it's your kind words that ignited the drive to finish JAT and start 12. So thank you. Always know that while my words may move you, yours were the ones that kept the ink in my pen filled enough to write more.

Firstly, Just a Thought will be taking a bit of an irregular hiatus. It's become more of a chore than what I had intended, so rather than forcing out dispassionate drivel, I've decided to stick the whole thing into a drawer until I've begun to miss it again. I will however, post the little things when one I feel doesn't make me sigh decides to show itself.
Besides, I'm habitually tardy in with the updates anyway so those of you who have tolerated this since the beginning may not even notice the change.
Secondly, I have created a new series called "21 Entries From a Journal Full of Fantasy".
I stumbled upon a tarot card set at Barnes & Noble a few months back, and the set filled my head with little ideas.
This completed collection will launch Wednesday exclusively on Tapas, and will become downloadable at it's conclusion -- which (again) is already finished because I want something in my career to be consistent.
That's all for now.
I think I'm going to use this wall more often.

I'm writing a new four part mini-series for artist, Angel Santaigo that takes place within his world: Guardian City.
