As a response to your comment about Civ VI over at GamerCat, sounds unnecessarily complicated to me...
Kind of like a weird crossbred of Civ BE and Civ V, would it really be worth it at this point to get it or not? As as far as I see it seems kinda meh ._.

In that case, yeah, you might want to hold off until the first major expansion and see how that goes because yeah, it's a lot about the new workers and districts, which some people like, and some people don't. Since that doesn't sound appealing to you, I can't see it being worth the money to you to y vanilla. But also like I said, diplomacy is full of idiots, too which is ruining the game for some people.
Hmm, I guess I'll wait for the expansion then. I've heard before the diplomacy AI is kinda odd and it doesn't really seem appealing to me this far. Thanks for explaining though as I was really doubtful about getting it ^w^
