Good Evening, everyone! I first wanted to take the time to thank you all for subscribing to Luna Lupa and being so patient with me. It means an awful lot that you have found something worth reading or even looking at in my start to a little poetry comic. At this time in my development of the comic pages, I have realized an error of judgment in my creative cycle. I wrote Luna Lupa in college, and from the start, I always wanted to make a beautifully drawn comic from it. I have only drawn one other comic before this one for a Comics seminar I was taking, so with little thought to what direction I was taking with this story - I jumped in the deep end. I just decided to wing it.
This ultimately placed me in the position that I am in now, where I am not creating a concise, consistent flow of the style of art that I feel this story deserves. I have come to the conclusion that the best next step in this journey is to start over with a new perspective.
I have already begun to develop pages of proper storyboarding for each comic page and sketches of images or style that I would like to work into the comic.
I know I am asking a lot, but I hope you all will stay with me as I work to make this something spectacular. If you would like to keep an eye on the process and see the work in progress sketches, feel free to follow me on Instagram @sheislys.
