Yeah, I have seen way too many artists do the following:
"Oh Hey guys, you should check out my newcomic, [Link] ."
A few updates later.
"So, I wont be able to update my other project as much as I like; as my buffer for it ranout/doesntexist. So my updates for it will be more late/random/unknown. "
One normal life event later.
"So my updates to [Main Project may be later than normal but don't worry as it and my other comic will still be updating."
Several months later and few to no updates.
"Alright guys, I know I haven't updated either of my comics but [Life Event] and updating two comics it has taken its toll with stressing me out. And so I decided to drop a comic so I can focus on one."

BiD is special because it's already been written, so it's much less work on my end, and I have fun with it. :)
SF is my baby and I'm going through some motivational issues with it that started before I began BiD. Actually, BiD is helping because it de-stresses me -v-;; I'm hoping to take an extended break after I finish the chapter I'm on for SF (a break with an actual end-date stipulated before I go on it), and work out the issues I'm experiencing. I'm optimistic about it~
It's helpful to know your concerns on this, so I know what pitfalls to try and avoid! I'll try to be as transparent as I can with readers so they know what I'm up to, since I know lack of communication signals doom to readers. XD;;; Thanks for sharing your thoughts <3

Yeah, although I wish i had a secret formula or something that would prevent lack of motivation. But in truth your fans will be your main motivation. If I were to regret anything it would be that I either didn't or help motivate someone. That is why on this site I will comment if I have one or do any other little thing to show the author that they have fans that care. I mainly read comics due to my extremely low read speed, but I do read a lot. If I have learned one thing it is that making a comic, especially by oneself, is a great task. Even video games are easier to make, as you will see results and the end of development arc quicker.

Would you rather it on your wall? Personally I would have probably just hugged you mid conversation, say the classic it's okay, and take a couple of deep breathes for you. As sometimes you are just okay and need the excess tension released
