If you've checked out my Patreon page recently you will notice that things have changed. Now I only have one reward tier... $1.
But what about the other tiers? They weren't working. I wasn't creating enough content for them to be worth it, so I dropped them. This made me re-think how my Patreon works, and after a conversation with my wife it was simple... make it simple! So now only 1 reward tier for $1! (You can always give more if you want!

I figure this works for everyone, I don't over promise and all my patrons get access to everything.
So what does the $1 reward get you now? All patrons will continue to get all new High School Romance pages early as well as something else I’m very excited to announce...
The Jin Makes Comics Discord Server!
The Jin Makes Comics! Discord server is a chatroom where you can chat with me and other fans about anything! But if you are a Patron it becomes more special. Patrons have access to exclusive channels within the Jin Makes Comics! Discord server.
#patron_only is a special channel where I will be posting behind the scenes and super spoilery content. This might include videos and pictures of me drawing new comic pages and also showing some concepts for comics. You can even request to see certain areas of the creative process and I’ll do my best to show you all.
#name_bank is a channel where patrons can leave suggestions for names of characters or locales which I can use in future comics. Any suggestion in the name bank that are used will be fully credited in the comics (just like in Toriko).
You can join the discord server here https://discord.gg/RthbDNZ where anyone can join in on the #general and #High_School_Romance channels but you’ll need to be a Patron to access the above channels.

I've been getting a whole lot of feedback lately, that uploading one page at a time is not enough content per update. So I've decided to let you decide. Would you rather more frequent updates with less content, or fewer with more? So please let your voice be heard.
More frequent, but less content. It's more interesting that way and honestly helps to refresh my mind on your story, which btw, is fantastic! Keep up the great work!
I prefer a shorter gap between updates, weekly is good I think, it also makes it easier to consume. if I have 50 updates to go through and I get to one 6 pages long I will skip it until I have more time. whereas if it is just 1 or 2 pages it is quick enough to read
I kinda prefer longer gap, more content, but that may be because I just binged your whole comic haha
This is just my opinion, but I feel longer comics posted here and there are more worth while for HSR. You get to add a lot more content in single posts which gives you time for your next (full of content). The other method simply seems like rushing and pushing out content that is too short.

Yeah, I think that'll be more practical!
Only for continuity reasons.
Admittedly, having all the pages in a single chunk makes them easier to re-read (if only slightly), but you'll lose a lot in terms of "stats": all the likes and comments on the single pages are going to be deleted with them, and while the comments might be rewritten (which would only happen if the people have enough dedication not only to rewrite all of their comments, but also to keep them separate against any common sense) you'll only get a small fraction of the likes back (since you can't like a page more than once).
Of course that doesn't really change much for us readers, but still...

Thanks for all the feedback! But @Golb89 does have a point. The stats are super important and I don't want to lose that, for now at least. So for this moment and time I won't consolidate the pages, but I might reconsider this idea in the future.

Hey everyone, time for a big news update.
It's been a week since I have returned home to Beijing after spending a month in Australia for my wedding and honeymoon. I wasted no time and went straight back to my new job at the games company Nordic Trolls. (Side note: we are making some very very cool games) Today is Christmas day and I'm laying in bed with my Cintiq (Another side note: I also just moved house and have no desk or table) and re learning how to draw. The plan is to get right back into it with regular updates for the webcomic again.
This has happened too often, that I get off schedule and have massive breaks between pages and I want it to stop. I'm going to try and manage my time better and get back onto a consistant schedule. I'm gonna need your help to keep me honest though, because you are what drives me. So make sure to kick up a stink on twitter or message me if pages are late and you are unhappy with how slowly things are moving, especially if you are a Patreon supporter.
Anyways, I love you all. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
