Hi Flying Ship gang!
just another update as there's still some confusion on what's happening. Now that Tapas is going away, the Flying Ship will be moving. I did have a dedicated website but I made the decision to close it down as I was struggling with the hosting, and I wanted to focus on Tapas as I enjoy interacting with my audience. So the news about Tapas shutting down threw a bit of a spanner in the works! I now plan to move The Flying Ship to new comic hosting platforms, most likely ComicFury and Webtoon. As you can imagine there is A LOT of comic that needs to be reformatted and reuploaded, so I'm working on that and will begin reposting the comic pages soon, and I'll announce when that is happening. I am hoping that this shouldn't delay the new chapter (Coming February 2027) by more than a couple of weeks, maybe a month, but of course I need to make sure the existing story is safe and available to read before the new chapter starts coming out. Tapas should be operational until March, so we have a bit of time, but if you're anxious not to lose contact, I am present on Instagram and Bluesky at @jmiltondraws and will post updates there as well, including announcement of the comic's new home when I am ready. Please bear with me as there is a lot to figure out and I want to make this a positive change if I can!
Thank you all for your support!
Peace -- Jem xx

Good luck with all of that, this must be a real bummer for you as a creator. Take care of yourself ! Don't feel any time pressure, I'm sure none of us readers mind waiting a bit. After all: we love your art, and if something is good, it's worth waiting for.
P.s. will Hungry Heart become available at another platform as well at some point in the future? It's one of my favourite stories here on Tapas and I am sad not to be able to revisit it again after March 2027.

Hey everyone, I wanted to come on here and just acknowledge the news about Tapas. We still don't know the details but the website is no longer going to exist, basically. This came as quite a shock to me, and I'm still processing to be honest. I've never had a community like the Flying Ship readers on Tapas, and it's going to be very painful to lose this platform, particularly as I was about to make an announcement that I would be moving The Flying Ship exclusively to Tapas.
The last few years have been extremely tough for me creatively, managing the introduction of generative AI art that has had an impact on my work, facing more and more challenges with algorithms hiding creators and combating burnout. But I refuse to give up, and I won't let this be more than just another setback.
I don't have an answer yet as to where The Flying Ship is going to live, I am looking into some options and will make a decision soon. But I want to reassure you all that it's not going anywhere, we will find a new home. I am still on hiatus but work will be commencing on the new chapter soon, and I'll begin the process of migrating the existing chapters to a new hosting site.
All this to say, I will let you know when I have a plan, and when the comic will begin moving. I appreciate your support and love being able to share The Flying Ship online and interact with readers, and I hope this will be a chance to find more new readers and bring them along on the journey.
Thank you so much,
Peace

Hi Everyone!
Just an update the The Flying Ship has undergone some technical issues during it's transition to Wait Until Free, which is why it's not been showing up for a few days!
It will be back up and running soon and when it is the upcoming episodes will be WUF!
This is coinciding with the release of The Flying Ship Vol 1 published by Dark Horse comics which is happening at the end of November. (!!!)
Thanks for your patience while we bring this exciting update! :) xxx

Hello Flying Shipmates!!!
I have a very exciting announcement for you!! :D
I have had to be very secretive about this, but all this year I've been working on something really cool in secret with Tapas....
In just a couple of weeks A BRAND NEW WEBCOMIC by me will start releasing right here on Tapas!
The comic is called Hungry Heart.
It's a food themed, queer love story set in London. And it's coming out during Pride month, this June 18th!
More to come soon, but it's time to get excited for a new story!!
Peace and love
Jem xxx
PS: Just in case any of you are concerned, this doesn't effect The Flying Ship in any way, and I will still be producing and release The Flying Ship each week.
Unlike the Flying Ship, it'll be a pay to read story but this will mean there will be bigger updates each time, and the revenue will help me to... you know, eat and live and stuff! So please check out this new story and I really hope you enjoy it!

Attention Flying Ship Early Access readers! Just a little note to say the page 4.70 - Danica has been updated, I was missing a part of the page! Be sure to check it out again if you haven't seen the full page. :) <3
Hi everyone! This is a bit out of the blue but I thought I should share this here. I'm raising money for my top surgery so I can transition physically. I appreciate you following The Flying Ship so much, and if you enjoy reading it I hope you'll consider donating to or sharing my fund for top surgery. The Flying Ship has been a safe place for me to explore my own gender identity, and the characters have helped me to grow and discover myself so much. You can help this real life person become who they were meant to be.
Peace <3 Jem

I am transmasculine non-binary but essentially yes FTM :) x
Oh okay! I've been referring to you as he/him in the post with your gofundme, are those also the pronouns you prefer or would you rather have me use other pronouns?
He/him is great, I also use they/them so either of those is perfect :) Thank you for asking!
Okay awesome!
ah okay, I was unsure since I only follow you here, but still, congrats on the surgery ^^
Announcement: New pages! There are now FIVE Flying Ship Early Access pages available :> Check 'em out!
