I'm the author of the Cozy Suburban Fantasy called Mandrake Manor, the Cozy Fantasy Adventure called Mosswood Apothecary, and co-author to a Paranormal Humor serial called NRDS: National Recently Deceased Services with Jeff Elkins.
I’m also an occasional co-host on the Dialogue Doctor Podcast where we talk about the craft of writing and publishing.
I’m based in Illinois, but my roots are in Wisconsin. I love to travel and fall off the beaten path, finding hidden gems and other mysteries. My other love is cooking, which I consider kitchen witchcraft.
I am also a fantasy genre junkie. I’ll dip my toes in other genres, but when I want to escape, I always lean on fantasy to take me away. Some of my favorite authors include Garth Nix, Tamora Pierce, Brandon Sanderson, Max Gladstone, Lev Grossman, V.E. Schwab, and Robert Jordan.
Thank you so much for checking out my stories here on Tapas. I really appreciate all your comments and likes!
It is sad to see Tapas go, but I will still be telling queer stories until my last breath.
Please find me on all the socials and over at https://www.9thBooks.com
I have other stories to check out, from witches to ghosts and everything else.
And if you loved Mosswood Apothecary, be sure to check out The Alchemist Baker of Rosen (set 200 years before Mosswood), releasing on all book platforms in December (and also in audio through Simon and Schuster!!!!).
Thank you again, and I hope to see you all again.

Writer of things cozy, strange, and queer
Thank you all so much for giving Mosswood Apothecary a try!
I'm thrilled to have you here and so grateful you've stepped into this strange little town with me. This story means a lot to me, and seeing new readers discover it makes all the difference, especially now that I'm writing full-time.
I've also just launched a couple pieces of Mosswood merch for those who want to carry a bit of the magic with them in the shop.
If there's something you'd love to see as merch while reading—something that captures the feel of the story—let me know. I'll do my best to make it real.
