Update:
Chapter 2 of Fade to Black is now live!
I'm glad I was able to finish Ch 2 in a few months (compared to the year it took to redo Ch 1). As for Ch 3, it will probably take another year now that I'm busy again. But as I learn the process I'll hopefully be able to streamline things and produce pages faster and easier.
I've also started posting on Medibang Manga Plus Creators [ https://medibang.com/mpc/titles/u72407221604597570024401505/ ] which is better for reading manga.

I finally uploaded the entire first chapter of Fade to Black on Tapas. Please go check it out if you haven't already!
It took me almost 4 years to finish Ch 1 but I've learned a lot along the way. So hopefully Ch 2 won't take nearly as long. I've drawn out the drafts for all the pages and now I'm working on the actual product.

Life update:
My last post for FADE TO BLACK was in October 2021. After that a lot of stuff happened in my life and the entirety of 2022 I did not touch the comic at all.
It wasn't until March 2023 after things had calmed down, I finally picked up my comic again and decided to COMPLETE the first chapter before I posted so I wouldn't have such a huge pause between pages (because I burn out quickly).
I contemplated whether to just restart the whole comic, but decided against it and instead did some touch ups on certain panels. Although I did redraw the prologue and the original layout sketches have been redone. I'm not confident in my art, but I know that I have to keep going or else I'll never finish this. So that is my current goal: Just finish the comic.
As of now, I've finished the layout sketch of all 32 pages and intend to finish the rest of the chapter by the end of the year at least. I post updates on Instagram and Twitter.
