My whole life I've lived in the beautiful state of Colorado. I was lucky enough to grow up with homemade root beer, Calvin & Hobbes, fireworks, and a fascination with the natural beauty constantly surrounding me.
Doodling and writing stories was my way of expressing myself throughout a long and challenging academic career. My demanding classes in high school left little room for imagination and originality beyond the terms of the curriculum. Though I loved the stimulation, it was essential for me to escape periodically through short stories, comics, and illustrations.
Today I am a proud owner of a BA in Illustration from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. My goal is to write and illustrate comics that reach out to as many people as possible, and offer my stories as a reflection of the inclusive and hospitable artist culture that I want to promote.
So I'm experiencing some pain in my hand and elbow and need to take a break just until Thursday the 29th! I've been juggling the comic and commissions and now that I've finished the commissions, it is clear that I have overdone it just a bit and need to take a break. (My job is also very computer / device intensive and is part of the cause for sure... ;/)
I also want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to the 21 followers I've gotten so far. You are each special perfect cinnamon roll angels to me and I get insanely happy every time someone decides to join the watch - club! I can't tell you how much I appreciate the comments and likes and watches...it is crazy to me that anyone likes what I'm doing and super motivating!
