It has been an awesome couple of weeks and now I can finally share why! Emmanuelle Morgen, a literary agent from the company Stonesong in NY reached out to let me know she really enjoyed my work and wanted to know if I was interested in writing something book-length. That is my dream, so of course I said yes. After a few great conversations, she offered to represent me! I couldn’t be more excited about it. I will be starting work on a graphic memoir! I have been saving this sketchbook for something special since college, and I think I finally found the right project. Here is their website: www.stonesong.com and Emmanuelle can be found on Twitter @EmMorgen
I didn’t have to go to work today because of a snowstorm. I felt productive, which I haven’t felt in weeks, so I tried to take full advantage. Things that didn’t make it on the list: drew a comic, watched a documentary called Stripped about the newspaper comic industry, tried and failed to get Charles to like Portlandia, ordered postcards of my art to send away and sticky notes with my comics on them (soon to be on Etsy!), and paid for another 6 months of car insurance.
I fiiiinally finished back-posting all my comics, so I'll officially be posting a new one every Wednesday! There will be a new one up tomorrow :) And as always, I put up the new comics a day early on Patreon! www.patreon.com/prettyprettyugly
I finally put the first printed collection of my webcomic Pretty, Pretty Ugly in my Etsy shop! Take a look :)
