Everyone, I'm in a shock right now... earlier I was informed by a reader who asked me whatever would become of my comics if TAPAS closed down at the end of 2026 and I was taken aback, because I hadn't heard the news 'til just now.

It hasn't dawned on me yet, and TAPAS staff have yet to say anything about it (given this news just broke out a few hours ago). Honestly, I'm now more annoyed for my readers than anything.
I've amassed about 47K unique subscribers on TAPAS over the years and they're just gonna be gone like that? Hundreds of encouraging, sweet, passionate comments about my works, gone? It's a very upsetting thought.
I used to be an avid Webtoon reader too. I used to read quite a few of KAKAO Webtoon titles... until they decided to close their branch in my country completely and all that money spent to access titles went down the drain.
I was so angry ... and now they're doing this to MY readers too?
But, before we get too heated and because we don't know what the future holds ... but if it comes to worst scenarios, that the platform closes down, unfortunately... please know that I absolutely DO NOT subscribe to this nonsense.

To anyone who have purchased my comics on TAPAS and can prove it (screenshot of your unlocked episodes, your contribution to Patreon for the comics, etc.), show them to me and I will give you access to download the episodes.
I'll be working to edit and make completed e-books of my comics too, so you can always get them, and own them somewhere.
I promise you, you will own what you bought.
I will be working on other ways to make my comics accessible for those who have purchased them on TAPAS as well. Thank you.

I did hear from a few people that BLACK BLOOD has been pirated somewhere.
It's disheartening to learn that there are people who just refuse to compensate creator's hard work, even from small creators like me. But like everyone else, I also need to pay bills and eat.😔
If you see BLACK BLOOD being pirated somewhere, please email a report to Tapas via customer service. They'll represent me to issue DMCAs.
