Teaching in the public education system here broke me into tiny little pieces and forced me into a career change. In 2015, I started making comics full-time, and I shared the anxiety and physical changes of going through a depression in my graphic novel Nuances (2015, over 300 copies sold). Today, I'm working on Zen & the Ephemeral, a story about achieving enlightenment through a crazy journey at a meditation center. The story will be finished and available in print by the end of the year.
