Being featured in the AAPI Heritage Month collection is such an incredible honor. I'm blown away by all the support that SEM has received, both from the feature and before it.
I was four years old when I told my ba ngoai (grandmother) that I'd be a writer someday. She then told me I'd never make any money that way, and it wasn't a real job.
I'm still not sure what a real job is. But I'm so glad that I got over the need to "make money" from my work, and simply get to write and share my stories with y'all.
And today when I sent her the screenshot of my work being featured, she told me she was proud of me :) So, lesson learned, never let anyone else tell you the shape or scope of your dreams.

It's the 3 month anniversary of Sonder Ex Machina! I can't believe how fast time has flown by.
