I love spicy food and long walks on the beach. My favourite colour is purple and my favourite number is 9. Oh, I also love drawing and playing video games :P
I think it's long overdue for me to make a " Thanks for subbing" image. I really appreciate each and every person who has given this webcomic a chance. Especially since I know that the first few pages are kinda rought to go through. But it gets better, I promise ;)
Starting Tuesday Narya is coming back after a small hiatus. I made some back-up pages to ensure this doesnt happen again. Thank you all for sticking around.
Been having too many things to do at work these days so I couldn't really focus on working on Narya. For those of you who don't know i work as a graphic designer at an ecommerce company and it gets busy sometimes :p I will try and have the this week's pages uploaded on the weekend. Sorry for the inconvenience. Will try and make some backup pages so this doesnt happen too often...
The upload schedule is now 3 hours earlier to make it a bit easier for US reader. New schedule is **Tuesdays and Fridays (12.00pm EEST - 02.00am PST)**
I have been working to revamp the first chapter a bit (and some of the 2nd) cause it looks outdated compared to the rest of the pages. I don't want new people getting turned off by the bad looking first pages and not giving the story a try.
Furthermore, i thought that maybe it would be even better for new readers to experience the whole 1st chapter in color so I edited one of the earlier pages making it full color. I'd like you guys to let me know if you think making it in color on top of revamping it would help ease new readers in.
Nyet, I vote against making the entire first chapter in color. Personally, I feel as though that would take up a considerable amount of time, and I'd personally rather see more pages be made with that time. That, and I hate seeing something that looks like it'll actually be in color; only to pull a bait & switch, and go to the Manga art-style. I don't think the early pages look too bad; I mean, people shouldn't expect King's Folly levels of art from the very first page. If you feel as though you should redraw them, it's yer call mate; but I personally think it's fine the way it is. Plus, it is a pitfall you may want to tread lightly through. If you get into the habit of continually doing that; you'll burn yourself out, as you seek the ever evasive status of perfection. That's my two cents for the ferryman; whatever you do, I'm cool with it.
I agree with the Random Webcomic Fan :) I was too, thinking about redrawing the first pages, but I'm not gonna do that 'cause it will take too much time and I won't progress my story. Personally, "bad" art does not avert me from reading a comic and I'd like to believe there are many people with similar thinking.
The thing is that the first chapter (and some of the second ) was made with ink and not with a tablet like the rest of the pages . That's why I wanna remake them. I don't plan on going back and remaking everything every time i get better at drawing :p Plus I plan on selling some print on a convention so I need all the pages to have clean lines . Thank you for your feedback tho, it really helped a lot :)
Thank you all for reading Narya! Each sub, like and comment really makes a difference and helps this webcomic reach more people. I'm really grateful to each and everyone of you :)
Over the weekend I'm gonna be updating the early pages of "Narya". These pages were made way back with ink and paper and look very out of place with the rest of the comic. It shouldn't take long to update all of them ;)
