Hi! My name is Melody Ohn. Although I was born in the United States, I come from a multi-ethnic Asian family who lived in a variety of cities across North America and East Asia. Throughout every move, books became my North Star - no matter where I was, my one constant was genre fiction and their beautiful worlds. Even as I weaved in and out of people's lives and neighborhoods, I knew I could always find my home in Middle-earth, Narnia, and Hogwarts...

After studying creative writing and journalism in New York, I became a freelance writer and participated in producing several children's TV series as a writer-producer, some of which have gone on to be released globally.

But I have always craved to create a world that I can call my own. I discovered the works of Susanna Clarke, Ted Chiang, and Ken Liu, whose unique visions of both the past and the future helped me navigate the new frontier of genre literature. And thus The Silk Moth Dream was born.
