After a little break from posting, I'm back now with some strips from our Rivertown News collection. RN is a loosely self-referential narrative about an artist who publishes a strip in the eponymous local entertainment weekly in the town where he lives. The comics center on cartoonist Dex, his best friend Brendan, girlfriend Andrea, Dex’s parents, and the whole Gen X scene that was going on in the late ’80s and early ’90s. It’s fun to look back on them now and really dig into those dated references. :)
And, with a strip about donuts, I have achieved the baker's dozen. Neatly done. Twelve dailies and one Sunday, but more to come, so stay tuned. Thanks for all the likes and comments! Cheers, Mark.
