HELLO EVERYONE! after years of hiatus and rewriting my story over and over again, i have finally decided i want to start over here on tapas! the original affinity comic has been deleted since the story is MUCH different now and i want to start from scratch. however, because i basically scrapped previous years of work on the original story, affinity will not be the first story i post here on tapas, as im still working on it. the story im going to be posting first is a collab with a childhood friend, called 'With Love, Yours Truly'. it is a romantic slice of life. we're in the writing process for it right now and i hope you all will be around for the story ^^
hey guys, im so sooo sorry that affinity is constantly on hiatus with very few updates. depression was kicking my ass for a long time, but im doing better now and im ready to get back into making my comic! i have a few pages sketched out and the cover for chapter 2 finished! so i want to get back to updates very soon!

thank you! i do enjoy working on affinity its just hard to get the motivation and energy to finally do so. but im getting there!
i have a bit of bad news, right now im swarmed with commissions and i simply dont have the energy to spend hours on comic pages, so unfortunately chapter 2 will have to wait a bit longer. commissions is the only way i make my money and i do suffer from mental illness so what little energy and motivation i do have i have to spend working or doing small doodles, which is not up to par with a comic. affinity is not going back on hiatus, dont worry, but it wont be out by the 15th. i dont have nearly anything done for the update because ive been working on commissions and other personal art, but im going to work on chapter two slowly. im so sorry that i promised a set schedule only to take it back, i just have not been in the right setting to work on this.
i will put out updates, i promise you that, even if its one page as i finish it. but at the moment i cant promise a ton of pages at one time. i hope you all understand and continue to support me!

thank you so much!! i have a page done but its the cover art page and i dont want to post that on its own. i think once i get at least a couple pages done i'll post them, and then post the pages as i work on them.
chapter 2 of affinity will start next month, november 15th! from then on, there will be regular updates every two weeks on thursdays with 6 pages each update! im going to work very hard on getting updates out to u guys! i hope you all enjoy and thank you all so much for sticking with me for this long!
after this chapter is finished, im going to set up a proper schedule for affinity. im not sure what this schedule will be yet, but i will definitely make a post here when i have decided. i want to put more work into this comic and really get it going, a lot of my time is spent thinking of ways to improve the story and characters and writing for it, however i want to put an equal amount of time into drawing the comic itself. im so sorry its been so slow these past two years and we're still not out of chapter one yet, but i can promise you everything will pick up once chapter two starts! thank you all sooo much for being patient with me and sticking with me for this long!

well, if someone is reading it all at once im sure its not a lot haha im really excited for chapter two because theres going to be more characters and story info! everything is definitely gonna pick up!
i want to thank everyone for being so patient with me! i have a lot of things im working on with personal projects and commissions, as well as my mom is getting married this month so im not sure how much time i'll have to work on affinity since i am in the wedding. but i'll do my best to get the next update out to you all by the end of the month!!

absolutely not! affinity isnt on hiatus again or anything and i definitely havent forgotten about it or all of you ^^ most of my free time is spent working on affinity in one way or another, im very determined to make this a webcomic i'm happy with! im just a little slow working on things lmao

how would everyone feel if when affinity comes off hiatus the panels will be colored? i feel like that would improve the comic. it will take a little more time to make the pages, but i really want affinity to be its best. i would like some opinions!
Is that so? Pardon me, but it's been so long, I forgot it's actually in black and white. I think objects are already distinguishable in b&w - but I definitely welcome color!
no yeah its been a long ass time. i think if its in b&w i could add some color pages every now and then.

its far from ending! i just took a break for a little bit, and im really glad i did because i fleshed out the story more and i think im at a good place to start getting back to it!
i miss affinity. i was thinking about it last night and i was thinking i could work on the comic in small doses while i work on escc. escc is more frequent and and im definitely not gonna stop working on it any time soon but i really do miss working on affinity. so i think im gonna work on the panels slowly and post them every now and then when i have a good amount of pages finished
