So, we all heard the news. Tapas is going away, and it's been hard to cope with.
I want to thank each and every one of you for your commitment to JAMIE and for supporting my art journey in general.
I will miss you all more than you know... more than I can express, and I'm so sorry that my hiatus has lasted far longer than intended. The reason is that I was offered a 3-book illustration contract for THE DOG KNIGHT and a 1-book deal for NORTHRANGER back in 2020, and because of constant displacement and needing to take up a day job alongside it, the deadlines have been pushed multiple times and were impossible for me to tackle alongside JAMIE.
It was a hard decision to go on hiatus, and I still wish I could have juggled it all, but bills were calling, and the advances didn't last as long as you might think - especially living in California.
But the good news is that I am on my last book, and I am currently in the middle of a move to Washington, where I hope we can find more stability. When this last graphic novel is finished, JAMIE and my new day job will be my only priorities.
For now, JAMIE will remain on Webtoon, and if that changes, I'll be sure to communicate across my social media and on Webtoon.
When the hiatus is over, I'm not sure whether JAMIE will be uploaded page by page or by chapter, but I'll keep you in the loop. While I love getting your live feedback on weekly uploads, I also want to put my head down, finish the comic by all means, and give you the story you've been waiting so patiently for.
I also have short prequels and sequels I want to tell, and other stories too! So, I really have to get a move on ;u;
I plan on reopening my Patreon when I am active again, and so you will also be able to read JAMIE there, unless I move elsewhere.

Unfortunately... the hiatus is going to be indefinite. My life is a bit chaotic again, and I need to prioritize finding stability. I will be working on Jamie on the back burner, but trying to keep up with weekly updates is not possible at the moment. I'm not sure what the long-term plan is, but I will keep you updated! I will be on a slightly more extended hiatus than I wanted. I'm tight on money and have had to pick up a part-time job, but Jamie is still a priority, so please stick around <3
Page 234 is now available for Early Access readers! Sorry there is no notification for that, but maybe if we keep pestering Tapas, they'll make that change 8)...
As I mentioned before, I am going to go on a brief hiatus to complete the next pages and touch up on the previous page's dialogue, bubble art, and page size. I hope that it will make the reading experience better.
Then, the long term goal is to translate every previous page into scroll format to read alongside the Standard page format you're used to for Jamie. But, that will be a project funded by your ink donations! Thank you!

I'm just checking in really quickly to let you know that I plan to take a brisk hiatus in the month of January to do a few things:
1. Touch up some dialogue in past pages.
2. Do some small edits to characters' faces where necessary, 3. and redraw all the bubbles.
I'd like to verticalize all the pages too, but that will be a project for another time.

<3 <3 of course! <3 <3 And yeah, maybe you'er right. But, I have no idea where to start finding someone who is good and who I can afford without underpaying. For now I'm going to reformat pages myself. I'll commit all tapas ink tips to funding this goal <3
