Hi, I am Nef. I originally posted my writing on Wattpad but decided to share the draft of my book here to gain more genuine feedbacks.
"Looking for Hope" is a story about the power of friendship and the search for the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. It is not always happy and upbeat but it is not straight up dark either--it is light-hearted with characters who deal with their own personal issues while working on a common goal.
If you like a story featuring the challenges of growing up and the up and down of being alive, you might enjoy what I have to offer!
I wrote an article about ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) from the perspective of a former international student and now a U.S. permanent resident. Hopefully this would be useful and informational for everyone else who has disabilities and is planning to study, work, or live long term here.
This is a sneak peak of the kind of poems you can expect from my upcoming poetry collection. Stay tuned!
Hint: it is going to feature a relationship in which the couple has to navigate a harsh environment in which being themselves can be a dangerous thing to do. The two have to learn to be brave and to come to terms with who they truly are.
The stanzas here follow 5-7-5 syllables pattern of Japanese haiku.
"Knowing you, darling
is a blessing in disguise
For which I'm grateful
...
Don't mind the darkness
For I will be your lantern
There's nothing to fear"
