SPRING INKSGIVING 101: Everything you need to know!

Welcome back, Tapas fans!
Spring Inksgiving 2019 is less than 3 weeks away and we’d like to let you know everything you need to know about this exciting event, including some useful tips on how to make the most of this fun-filled community event.
About Event
Spring Inksgiving is a community event dedicated to supporting the creators in our platforms. Fans and creators come together to give back to their favorite storytellers with Ink support. Last Fall 2018, we surpassed our ultimate goal of 15 million total ink support during a 48-hour period. This time, we’re aiming a bit higher by setting the ultimate goal of 20 million total ink support during a 24-hour period.
Spring Inksgiving will be a 24-hour event taking place between May 22 at 04:00 PM until May 23 at 04:00 PM (PDT).
How It Works
For 24 hours, every drop of Ink given to any creator on Tapas will contribute to the overall goal. The more total support given during Spring Inksgiving, the more supporters will get back as bonus Ink the following month.
If we reach 10 million drops, fans will receive 10% of the amount they gave back; if we reach 15 million, they’ll get 15% back. Our ultimate goal is 20 million drops of Ink – if we achieve that, supporters will receive a whopping 20% of their contribution back as bonus Ink after 30 days.
During the event, you’ll be able to see the live progress of the community’s ink support and special messages on our Inksgiving page.
We’ll also be updating on our social media platforms & forums page, as well as hosting fun contests, so make sure to follow us to not miss out!
How to Support Creators
To help you out during Inksgiving, we’ll be running a special discount on Ink Packs, as mentioned above! For $4.99, fans will be given, 1,000 more drops of ink than usual. So instead of receiving the standard 5000 drops of ink (which is 4,000 plus a 1,000 drops of ink bonus), fans will receive 6,000 drops of ink when they purchase this special pack during the event!
What should creators do?
Spread the word (and rally your supporters), in an episode explaining how to give support, a post on your wall, or through social media (#SpringInksgiving).
