Ay sorry about the lack of updates, I'm still working. This chapter is actually nearly finished? Like seven or so pages left, so I'm trying to get these ready in batches instead of drip feeding the last few bits. Thanks for your patience.

Hey! The redraw is finally done! Please give it a read, even if you've already read chapter 1, I've added a few more scenes and fixed a lot of pacing/writing issues, not to mention the brand new art. I worked really hard on this and would love it if you gave it another look. I'm planning on redrawing chapter 2 as well. Thanks!
Howdy, status update on the rewrite. It's getting towards completion. Instead of just redrawing it, I redid practically everything. It went from 13 pages to. . .around 50. At this point, it feels like I'm writing a oneshot. Anyways I just need to shade/add screentones. Here's a completed page as a teaser.
Chapter 1 Rewrite: Basically chapter 1 is getting completely redrawn and rewritten to match current quality, as well as just giving a better start to this series. Sorry for the radio silence but I've been dealing with different priorities since the end of volume one. Again, it's a complete rewrite. Whenever it's finished I would love it if you gave it a read. I might just redraw the second chapter instead of redoing it, that'll depend on how long this first rewrite takes. Here's a frustrated October!
P.S.: Some more reasoning behind the redo and clarification. I am NOT starting from scratch, just the first chapter, the pacing and story beats are fine enough, the problem is just the jump in quality from the first chapter to the sixth. I want to at least give any future readers some proof that quality does get better. Again, it also lets me write a more solid opening. Thanks.

Aight I'm still workin on the update. I've finished all foreground and background lines, I'm just working through the shading so bear with me please. 35 more pages to shade. . ! Heh heh.

50 Page update coming. Expect it, not soon, but it's happening. Had to work nonstop on a few separate things, sorry about the delay. This chapter should look better than ever!
