oh hey - haven't heard from you in a while! nice little book - but alas, I still need to finish studies before I have the kind of money to buy this lol
How'd your summer go? Hopefully good! Mine was a bit busy. Job changes, writing, family stuff. You know.
Big news though! I got the opportunity to try out for a major studio this summer. Seriously, guys! My dream job!
Sad news though. I didn't get it. In all honesty I was a little disappointed being passed up but I came away from the experience feeling a lot better than I did before taking the test. I'm super thankful.
It felt awesome to finally be noticed. Literally, the day before I got the offer to take the test, I was feeling really pessimistic about my comics and my writing. I literally stood in the kitchen and just sulked about how little I felt that I had accomplished this year. Trying to make ends meet in Southern California is tough and you don't get much time to draw when you work six days a week. And even when you do get to work on your stuff it can feel like you're just throwing your art into an abyss, being seen by nobody and liked by even less.
So thank you guys for sticking with me and keeping me going with your support. I would not have been offered the chance to try out had it not been for my comics. I wouldn't keep making comics if it wasn't for those of you who regularly like and comment on my work. Seriously, I appreciate it so much.
Phew! Sorry for the essay!
Just FYI, I've scheduled a page a week from now until the end of the year ( two pages a week in December.) It's part of my latest Benji and Jimmy story. I hope to finish this comic by the end of the year. I plan to start a shop soon and maybe start selling some mini-comics or some t-shirts. Let me know what you guys think!
Just writing to say that I'll be taking a month long hiatus. I'm getting married in less than a month and there's still lots and lots to do. I'm stressing out!!!
Anyway, thanks for reading!

P.S Does anyone know how to make a good gif? Mine came out all wonky.
