hey all just so you know (for the few that use the browser version of Tapas) yes, The Shapeshifter's Wife is currently down on Tapas over a copyright flag (the reference to Nsync actually), I'm currently working on it with their moderation team, and it should be back up soon. Bad timing that this happened right when I updated but eh, it's still up on Webtoon if you want to read the last update.
hey all! we changed our cover and thumbnail! Gonna try this mysterious one out for a spell!

Hey guys! Little update regarding Alchemist Burn Outs--I was hoping to have that thing done in 6 months, but then I got Real Busy and a little bit like...writers blocked...so forgive me cuz I'm going to remove the deadline and say it'll come out...when it comes out. It is currently pretty far in progress, for all I know I'll finish it next month. But hell knows, been interesting times these past few years and I can't predict the future anymore. Either way, just stay subbed, and you'll be notified once that hiatus is over.
But The Shapeshifter's Wife is still ongoing and has no hiatus in sight so that's still available for y'all to read.

Hi all! So we recently met a benchmark on a 20 K ink goal (dunno if you guys can even see that I had a goal in force, but I did) and for some reason it didn't have any description of what the goal was? Dunno what happened there. Y'all were donating on good faith, haha.
Anyway, and in case you were curious as to what that stretchgoal means, it means I'm gonna dip into my buffer and give you an extra episode of The Shapeshifter's Wife in January--that's three updates instead of 2! So an episode will come out on the 7th as well as the 17th and 28th of January. Thanks again for your support, and I'll have another goal up soon, and if we reach that benchmark we'll release an extra episode during that month as well.
(and as for the state of my buffer--I am going to be making some rendering changes in the next arc that makes it so I can get these out quicker even with all the other work I do outside of the comic, so don't worry about me overworking my hands or anything. I am fully prepared to post out a few episodes early if stretchgoals are met.)

Hey, thanks so much for following, liking, and subbing to "The Book of Joel"!
Hey guys, just so you know, I've been looking at Avu, which I uploaded back when I wasn't really aware of how tapas readers read--and I will be deleting it to reupload it properly (not scroll format necessarily, but more than one page an update, and without a picture from a page of a novel on it where you can't change the text size). I haven't bothered to do this with like Alchemist Burn Outs since that one is traditional page format and has more followers, but Avu wasn't traditional at all, or that long or that well followed anyway, so I don't feel that bad about starting it over. It's always been a fun experimental playground for me anyway. This won't be happening right, right now, I want to finish other projects before I start Avu up again--but if you were wondering where it went--it's just on the shelf.
You can still read it at it's website rajillustration.com/avu just be aware that it was made before some stuff happened with Javascript coding and the code broke so the cool parrallax scrolling animations I spent months on will not work (the art will be fine though). It is somewhat a relic of an earlier time of webcomics so it's a blended webcomic with lore and extra reading, back when we all wanted to be homestuck haha.

Hey guys, this year we will not be doing an official inksgiving, just because of my own schedule, but what I will be doing is if for some reason we get like 25 K ink, I will reach into the buffer and post an early episode. :D But overall, just not really doing inksgiving this year, life caught up to me. Thanks for your understanding.
And, if you don't know what inksgiving is, it's when you can donate ink to your fave creators, and Tapas will give ink back to you a few weeks later. It's only if you donate during a certain period, so make sure you're donating at the right time.
Also, if you buy ink on the browser it seems to work much better than the app--just bringing it up because I've heard people have had some issues with the app (that and when you buy from the app, then Apple takes a cut, so buying on the browser gives more money to your creators.)
Finally, make sure that your password is good, maybe refresh it if you've had it a while, there's been some sneaky hackers out there stealing ink, which is unfortunate because it's the holiday season.
I hope you have a safe holidays!

Hey all, just so you are aware, The Shapeshifter's Wife will be moving it's update time to Friday instead of Wednesday. The reason for this change is to see if we can pick up some different readers at that time. Nothing huge, just a thing you do every once and a while for webcomics. We'll probably change update day again in 5-6 months from now, just to keep things fresh.
Thank you for subscribing to Prometheus Reanimated. Monster hugs and eldritch dreams for you!
As I was going through a bunch of my files I realized I never posted this anime Fred Abbot that I made when I was thinking of how to draw the April Fools post a year (or 2?) back.
Also, it's a good time to also let you guys know that soon (in about a month?) we will be at a point in Alchemist Burn Outs, the Novel version, where I will be taking a hiatus. Just the novel, The Shapeshifters Wife will update as normal, and it has plenty of buffer--so don't worry about the comic.
The reason why is because it is between books (we don't really have book divisions, but we do) and I changed the original ending, so I can't use it anymore, and I would like to have more time to make it good and polished before I start posting the final leg of our journey.
While I was able to do both a comic and a novel during quarantine, now that we're opening up again, I am quickly running out of time in the day, and I don't exactly have my old energy I used to have before 2020 hit. I'm still adjusting, as I'm sure we all are.
This hiatus will be several months (maybe half a year, we shall see), and I hope that I'll have had enough time to make something that I'm proud of putting out there and hopefully a satisfying ending that for me I started as a cathartic thing to do in a time of fear and isolation, and will hopefully end in a time where the world's a little sunnier, a little calmer, and filled with a lot more hope.
In the end, this novel was an experiment for me, I don't really post novels and fics, I generally do art stuff and I always felt that people came for the art and not my stories. I just want to thank y'all for proving me wrong and coming for the story and my words. For seeing it through and being so sweet with your likes and your comments and your views. I really didn't think it would get any readers, and I want y'all to know I'm really thankful that you're there reading along and I appreciate all of the support. <3
